Today in 1989, the Exxon Valdez ran aground. For those of you who are so enthusiastic about fining Exxon all that money, remember, you ended up paying for it as the corporation passed those costs along.

Wishful think on my part but I always wanted the courts to impose a time along with the fine, the time would be a number of years they couldn't raise their price so that couldn't pass the fine off on us.I realize due to the nature of oil and the fact that when the time ran out they would just raise the prices to cover the fine anyway.Just wishful thinking.

Do what I did...I "boycott" them and won't use Exxon gas stations...While I realize they sell to anyone it gives me a little pleasure knowing my little statement is made each time I use another company..

Lots of people did that, myself included. I still won't use their products unless I have no choice.

Exxon is pro second amendment, so I buy my fuel from them. I do not purchase from Conoco, Weyerhauser, Levi Strauss and other gun grabbers. Different strokes. And the point about corporations passing along fines, taxes and other costs to customers? That is how capitalism works.
