Did you give up any individual rights when you joined a Union shop? A $65.00 increase in premium in three years sounds like a bargain to me.

I never said I gave up anything when I joined the Union. But, I had no choice about it I either joined or I found another job.

Did you find in the constitution where the Government can make us buy anything?

You are quite sad as I have never been a registered republican in my life. Now drive that 2 seater.

Well that 65.00 is on top of whatever the cost was originally. I am not sure what the total cost of that is. But adding anything to it for people on a fixed income isn't very compassionate. At least I don't think so. maybe you have a different view.

Do you buy auto insurance? How about auto registration? Do you pay real estate tax? How about income tax?

The Constitution was not intended to address each and every law government finds necessary to protect us. You will not find that going through a red light is addressed in the Constitution. If you choose to go through the red light and get caught, however, you will get to pay a penalty. When you joined the Union you had a choice. You gave up the opportunity for a new job to stick with the Union. The same is true of the ACA. You still have a choice. Buy the insurance or pay the penalty. Like the choice to join the union, the ACA insurance requirement might be in your best interests.

Not if you don't own a car, house or free load.

I run a red light and get caught I pay a fine not a penalty but if I don't own a car I won't be running a red light.

This a choice ACA is not a choice and at 63 I don't need the pill.

Best interest? of who? Maybe for government control and redistribution on my money. That right I have mine bought and paid for, you do the same.

First, Auto insurance is not the issue, driving is a privilege. If you choose to drive then you buy auto insurance. That is state to state and is regulated by the states. If you do not drive then you don't have to buy it.

Health insurance should be regulated by the states. The constitution gives no authority to the Federal Government to force anyone to buy anything. period.

The Constitution is the law of the land. It sets the guidelines for all other laws. It even gives guide lines on who has what authority. It does not give the President the authority to make and break law's as he pleases. Not this president or any other.

When he gives these cut outs. He is breaking the law and should be treated as a criminal. That goes for any other president that has done the same.

And your right about one thing. I made the choice to work in a Union shop. I don't regret it, and would make the same choice again if I had too.

Let's recap your statements:

You don't own a house. You don't own a car so you won't be running red lights. You are 63 and don't need pills. Your health insurance is bought and paid for. Lucky YOU. "I GOT MINE"

How about the millions of Americans who are not so fortunate?

See there's choice. You joined a union shop and I did not, in my case the union could add nothing other than dues with I felt would look better in my bank account rather than theirs. Democrats don't want choice, it easier to have someone else think.

I agree. I am about to piss some people off with the Union tho. They make a huge donation to the Democrat party. It comes out of my Union Dues. I am of the understanding that it is an option. I am going to opt out. Getting ready to do that right now.

I have nothing against unions per es but in my case the union could add nothing to what we already had, complete health care (4 plans to choose from) dental (4 plans) eye, only cost was a one time $25.00, 2 week vacation (week added every 5 years), 12 sick days (don't use them get paid them on Dec 1, 401 (you put a buck the put two up to 5% of your pay) now I ask what could a union add?

That sounds pretty much like what I have now. Unions were at one time needed to clean things up. Now that things are cleaned up I am not sure that they are actually needed.

oh, just called. No more donations to Democrats. I had thought about telling them I wanted to change it to Ted Cruz. :P but I was nice.
