The checks and balances and blurred. The house is doing what it should, some of the time. The problem is that the republicans get the blame for most of what happens whether it is their fault or not. The checks and balance do exist. The problem is when the house uses the system they get blamed for being racist, obstructionists, holding the people hostage...ect.

All of which are BS. It is what they are suppose to do if they don't feel like what is being done is good for the American public. I think what is going on is a political coup. It is being carried out by the democrat party for what ever the Presidents agenda is. I know, it sounds like a conspiracy theory. But, if you look at the tactic's they are meant to destroy the Republican party, which would effectively make us a one party country. Much like Europe, where conservatives still run but never win.

How can the Constitution be out dated? It's the Law of the America Government. The Constitution is the Law between the Government and the America's Citizens. It lay the ground work What Our Government can Force on us, as Americans, the other part lay out the ground work and rights for American Citizen. Like the First Amendment, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion, or Prohibiting the Free exercise thereof. It also, gives you Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press. Second Amendment, give the American Citizens to carry and bear arms for the security of a Free State and Nation. The amendment go on and on. Everyone In American should be required to Read The Constitution of the United States of America and Declaration of Independence every five years to keep it fresh in their mind how the U.S. Government should operate and as a Citizen your Rights of Freedom. As you can see, 99% of Americans have not read ether one because no one understands it. Just like the Democrats are always trying to Take That Freedom Away. What people don't understand is, Our Government cannot take it away from US. To try to do it, it would take two thirds of each state to change The Constitution. That makes it impossible to do. Obama and the Democrats thinks they can just pass a bill and do away with anything in the Constitution or The Declaration of Independence that they want but, it's not that easy. Obama and the Democrats thinks Americans are Stupid and they know no one know the Law of The Land in America. But, just like what is going on now in our Government, there are hardly any Americans Standing Up and Try to Force Our U.S. Government to follow the Constitution. Obama and the Democrats Break the Law Daily. So, What are YOU going to do About IT????? As most Americans, unusual NOTHING.
