Not just to serve themselves, is the fairest way to put it, but to help decrease the impasse of government.

It starts with nominees to the Executive Staff, no fillbusters to attempt to block them. Next will come no fillbusters for legislative bills or amendments to the Bill of Rights. Your constitutional rights are next on the chopping block, be prepared to accept the coming changes because your leaders in DC know what's good for you and know what you really want. Not that they will ever ask you what you want.

Instead of a Swastiska it's an ass or the Obama logo. Next thing you know they'll make wearing them as arm bands a trend.

Let's remember that this recent change involves Presidential appointees to federal courts or to cabinet departments or other agencies -- not legislation and not Supreme Court nominees. This president, Mr. Obama, faces an uphill battle in attempting to make required appointments when the minority party has as its stated purpose to obstruct anything and everything our elected president attempts to accomplish. Hopefully, this change in the filibuster method of obstruction will help fill current vacancies.

Okay, okay, okay, whatever the number of filibusters President Obama has received, whether it was 100 or 400, he has received 46% of all of the filibusters in the last 200 years. That is because he is a black man and racist Mitch McConnell said he was going to make him a one-term president after he was elected. That didn't work out for them so they are just going to do whatever they can to undermine his presidency.

Of Course McConnell Has Blocked the Senate 400 Times

How Many Times Have Republicans Filibustered Obama?
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_times_have_republicans_filibustered_Obama

Of course, the Republicans are throwing their "hissy fits" like little cry babies saying "we are going to get even". They have had their fun since President Obama took office and now they have had their favorite toy taken away.

What I found very amusing about your response was you were more concerned about the number of incorrect filibusters and nothing about the number of babies dying from poverty in GOP controlled states.

In Mississippi they will put a woman in jail for having a miscarriage or giving birth to a stillborn quicker than they would put a rapist or murderer in jail. And you probably think there is no "war on women".

Has nothing to do with him being black but just maybe his too radical for the main stream folks. 90% of his campaign promises have been broken.

Democrats are running scared, this is just another nail in the coffin of the democratic party.

If we get a Republican majority in the Senate, you'll hear more whining and crying from the Dems to change it back. It'll be the same as when Ted Kennedy "flip-flopped" on the rule change he sought in MA.:

During the time MItt Romney was governor of Massachusetts, Senator John Kerry ran for President and looked at times that he might win. The state legislature, egged on by Kerry’s Senate partner Ted Kennedy, changed the law regarding the selection of a replacement Senator to require a state election, keeping Romney from the possibility of appointing — quelle horreur! — a Republican in Kerry’s place. Now that Ted Kennedy is perhaps too ill to continue, Kennedy now wants the law changed back, since there’s a Democrat in the governor’s chair.

The Dems want to change the rules anytime it doesn't suit their purpose.

from experience I have learned that the first to throw insults is usually the that fits the names they are calling,"the squeaky wheel gets the oil."

Mitch Mconnell, is not the mouth piece for most republican or conservatives. Even if that was what he thought at the time he shouldn't have said it. It was a stupid statement.

Both parties have used the filibuster. Don't be a hypocrite. Both party's are the same. They both have an agenda. Neither party is the same as they were 50 years ago, even 20 years ago.

Do you really want to blame the policies of one party for the condition of the country? They both had a hand in making the problems we have. The key to correcting the problems in this country is Personal responsibility. Taking charge of our own lives and doing what is right. No one owes me a living and I damn sure won't ask anyone else to do anything for me that i won't do for my self.

I won't comment on what happens in Mississippi because I don't live there. I don't know what they do and don't do. But if these things are happening and it concerns you then do something about it. I don't blame anyone for their beliefs or standing up for them. I do however, believe if someone is going to back up someone else, they should back them up with their own idea's and not parrot the people they defend.

Most of what you have said goes right along with what the campaign of Obama said a year ago. Be original, come up with your own talking points.

Both sides what the edge and neither should ever have it, all this does is open the door for cheats.

The D.C. court has a quota of 11 seats. Three have been vacant. Of the current judges, four were appointed by Republican presidents and four by Democrats.

Obama has nominated Patricia Millett, Nina Pillard, and Robert Wilkins, but their nominations were being filibustered by Republicans who worried a shifting balance of power.

The court is particularly important because it deals with decisions made by federal agencies and the White House, reports The Washington Post.

What I heard was that the load of this court was less than half of others and that it didn't need more judges. Democrats used the same argument
in 2005 I think, when Bush wanted to add judges to it. Now they are needed.

Both parties use the courts for intended purposes except with Reid it becomes real.
