Spain's expulsion of Sephardic Jews was the result of Spain becoming predominately Christian. Sephardic Jews were given the choice of converting to Christianity or leaving Spain.
As far as I see, they were not threatened with death as you claim.

When has the United States ever fought a war for Israel? In the last seventy years, no American serviceman has ever died fighting for Israel. Israel may have saved American servicemen by closing the Suez Canal during the Viet Nam War which made it more difficult for Russia to deliver arms to Hanoi. The attack on Iraqi nuclear facilities certainly was at first condemned by the world and later was applauded! There is nothing unpatriotic with supporting Israel. AIPAC does it in the open for everybody to see. In the coming convention, all the Presidential candidates will be there, as well as most of the Congress.
Please don't tell me that they are out for the big bucks from the Zionists. As far as I know the Koch brothers are not Zionists. The politicians are coming because they want Jewish votes and contributions. Ordinary non millionaire Jews contribute to their party of choice. Most of the time, it has nothing to do with Israel.
