A federal judge has ordered Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal to restore state payments to Planned Parenthood, making Louisiana the second state blocked from defunding the group.
U.S. District Judge John deGravelles ruled Thursday that Jindal couldn't cancel the states Medicaid contract with Planned Parenthood over allegations the group is facing related to its fetal tissue donation program, according to The Associated Press.
Planned Parenthood clinics in Louisiana do not perform abortions and do not accept fetal tissue donations.
DeGravelles, who was appointed by President Obama last year, had previously delivered a temporary ruling in favor of Planned Parenthood. Jindal, who is running for president, has promised to continue fighting in court.
One day earlier, Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley (R) received a similar ruling from a federal judge who also rejected his argument for canceling the groups Medicaid contract, which was also based on the fetal tissue donation controversy.

State business? Where does half the money come from that pays for Medicaid?
And Precious? It isn't next year that "we" would take over.
Medicaid is an example of socialism not communism; which is why fascists cannot determine where women go to get their health care.

I wonder how they manage to keep so many outlets open if they are not wanted.
What are you going to do with all those extra babies if there is no access for birth control through PPFA?
And, Precious, there is no free care. We pay for that.
You still didn't answer...who is Cassady?

Free hospitals? Where? Aren't my insurance premiums paying for the 'free' hospitals that supposedly exist?
So, if we are subsidizing 'free' emergency care--the most expensive kind of medical care--would it not be cheaper to subsidize the insurance for preventive care?
Let's be clear about something else: you are mistaken that planned parenthood is not wanted in La. You, and your fellow travelers, may not want them but clearly some folks are using them, so they must want planned parenthood.
Of course, your dictatorial nature would not tolerate that difference of opinion, would it?
Thanks, wcs, for speaking up. Sometimes I feel like there are only a few sane people on this website.
