The entire support of the 78 lower floors had no reason to fail. The 78 lower floors were not damaged by the fires or by the airliner. They were as strong as the day they were built.
The only way they could be taken down is by controlled demolition. The videos show controlled demolition.
The news commentator on this video compares the fall of the South tower to a controlled demolition.
