The construction of the elevator shaft in the WTC included lining the shaft with gas pipes for the restaurant kitchens that pancaked the floors as the jet fuel flowed downward. Those same pipes were connected underground to every building in the complex beneath the entire block. Anybody with an ounce of common sense would see that in an instant.

The question is not "why did nobody buy it," but why did nobody fix it with simple repairs by simply turning off the gas and removing the gas pipes in the elevator shaft? This is not a billion dollar operation we are discussing, but a cheap repair! The WTC could have easily been sold, but not "as is."

Who was enforcing compliance with the city safety codes all those years after the 1993 attack? Where were the insurance company inspectors, year, after year, after year? I looked at those films and recognized the problem instantly, and believe me, I am about as average a person as the next dude on the street.

Okay I don't know about there being gas lines in an elevator shaft in those buildings. I have been in elevator shafts & know that it has been in common practice for years that nothing is to be in those shaft that have nothing to do with the elevators.

It would seem to me that in the case of gas leak explosions they would not have been as uniform. Plus much of the gas would burn off.

I am sure that one of the first things done by firefighters & company gas company is to turn off the gas to as much of the area as possible. The safety of firemen is at stake.

Well lets look at some facts... First point.... The WTC towers building 1 &2.. these building were designed with everything running through the center core... there was a clear open view except in the very corner sections where heavy electrical cabling was run between transformer floors and the basement levels.... look it up the prints... almost everything else ran through the central core with the elevator shafts not in the shafts.. there were over 3000 miles of electrical cable with conduit and pipes ...
