He says something strange was going on--that explosions were happening in the lower part of the building where there was no fire. When Newsman Tim Russert asked Colin Powell if the Bush administration would produce a white paper which would contain proof that Bin Laden and Al Qaeda were behind the 9/11 attacks, Powell said the white paper would be provided within a few days. That white paper has never been provided.

I found a bunch of psychology sites that have articles on the psychiatric makeup of people who believe in conspiracy theories. Mentioned in nearly all of them are the old standards, JFK assassination, the Holocaust, and of course, 9/11. Seems there are more of these people than we thought. They are very insecure individuals, some bordering on neurotic paranoia; they trust no one and have difficulty processing information objectively. Their critical thinking skills are minimal and they are easily confused, particularly when dealing with a high volume of conflicting information (or data). They are easily fooled by this. One need only look at the number of times the 9/11 story has changed, either in small details or large portions. The collapse of WTC7 is a case in point.

Any good detective or attorney can tell you horror stories of how eyewitnesses (particularly those experiencing fear and high stress situations) can twist the facts completely and erroneous interpretations of evidence can result in some truly bizarre judicial outcomes.

Bottom line is that the documentation (all of it) of an Islamic terrorist attack by Al Qaeda, from bin Laden on down to Mohammed Atta completely overwhelms the entire bulk of conspiratorial garbage.

What exactly is this "official conspiracy theory" you incessantly bring up? Has it been published somewhere? I mean, something other than the 9/11 Commission whitewash.

How is it that the only ones who have talked openly about their role in the attacks, who planned it and carried it out, are the Islamic Jihadis. I mean, geez, they admitted it, took responsibility for it, celebrated it for all the world to see.

OTH, not a single participant in this massive conspiracy of yours leaked any hint of what happened? Not a whistle blower anywhere on earth. Not a single computer to hack. There is no way that, out of the thousands of people necessary to pull off such a massive event, not a single one has talked. Other than the Al Qaeda Jihadis, the only ones fooled are the conspiracy theorists who never had any skin in the game, never participated in any stage of the event. They are all, you among them, just making sh!t up. Whatever insane excuses you can come up with to fit your political agenda has nothing to do with what actually took place.

Even you refer to the 9/11 Commission as a whitewash. It certainly was. Bush and Cheney were not even going to have an investigation of the greatest crime ever committed in this country until a brave group of victims' wives shamed them into it. When the members of the Commission were selected by Bush and Cheney they were instructed not to investigate to determine who was guilty but to determine how to avoid an attack such as this in the future.
