While looking around on youtube tonight I found this one that was one of my favorites in the late 50s and early 60s. I had to ride on the MTA in Boston many times in 1955 and this one is so real for those of us who used that darned old thing.

In 1927 Carmichael wrote this one as an instrumental and in 1929 somebody else put words to it. Many have recorded it but old blue eyes did it as well as any of them. Here he is doing Stardust.

Here is Stardust done by a big band, Artie Shaw. Great listening.

The thought of Louis Armstrong and 'What A Wonderful World,' comes to mind as to a mellow song.

I remember that song quite well. My uncle had the album and played it a lot. Laughing his head off the whole time. I imagine that 15 cent fare is now 3 bucks.

What a wonderful message for all of us..

Yes, what a wonderful world it truly is..Each day given for us to enjoy and live..To be happy, to cherish those things most dear to us..What a wonderful world it is......

When all said and done, what is really being said~~~as Louie said~~"I love you"....Beginning and end, or the Alpha and Omega of all things~~

Here is one of my favorite Kingston Trio songs. Of course, it was done long before Iraq but applied very well to it.

Been doing some reading about the Kingston Trio. They say that folk songs all tell a story so you have to listen to all the words. Here is the Kingston Trio doing three of their best. I like it.
