I need input. How can you man or woman walk out on a child of any age for someone you have never met? Wont even give child a number to reach them at or say where they are. Calling on private numbers bc of stranger.

There is no depth to the depravity of man/woman.....

To some things, there is just NO answer....

Loneliness, despair, and self indulgence,,,, makes people do horrific things,,,, you want answers that make sense,,,, but there is no sense to what happened....

You cannot apply your "sense" to a non-sensical situation.... all you can do is not let the darkness of it eat you up,,,,even though it now consumes you..... this is how things "jump generations",,,,, the loneliness and rejection that this child feels will manifest similarly in their adulthood,,,,

Your job is to keep it from going that way,,,, love the child,,,, and patch that hole this person created in them..

I saw a video some time back, where a baby elephant cried for three days because his mother rejected him. Just yesterday, I mentioned that to someone, and said imagine how a child feels.

How does a parent walk away, and never look back? There are never satisfying answers, only pain. Pain takes time to heal, and it does, it can make you stronger or it can break you. Many of us have gone through some painful experiences with the way our parents treated us, but then it comes back to each of us as to whether or not we will grow from that or let it tear us down. It's one of those moments where you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move forward.

Life has some really hard knocks for many of us. When they have come in my life, and they have, first I rely on my faith in God. Then I turn to something a friend once told me they read in a book. This knight was fighting in the crusades, and he was mortally wounded. He turned to his armor bearer and said, "Lie me down to die a while, then rise me up to fight again."

Only those who will rise up to fight again make it. I pray you will be one of them.

The sad thing is im the parent of said child and it kills me to see her hurt. One day I hope other parent will stop and realize what theyve done. Ive tried to keep peace but you know.

There are others who have been rejected by their parents, and today, sadly, it seems to be more and more prevalent. We are the authors of our life, only we can finish the story as to whether or not we get up to fight again. Miracles do still happen.

I can think of a number of reasons. the person walking out is mentally ill, and has lost all coping skills and sense of what is important. the person is addicted to drugs and/ or alcohol and is really leaving to be with other junkies. The person has decided that his or her attraction to the same sex must be acted on no matter how much it damages those who love that person. The person is severly depressed and can't face his family. The person is a selfish SOB who wants to play and never take responsibility for those he promised to love, honor and obey and caused to be brought into the world.
The one thing I can guarentee you is that it is not the fault of the chilren. They are still lovable and worthy of being loved. If you believe in chirst, seek a christian counselor, if you do not believe seek one anyway, they are less likely to come up with psychobabble and more likely to help you cope with the abandonment. God be with you and give you strength as you go through this struggle.

How old is your daughter? Is she old enough to somewhat understand that the missing parent must have been in a state of emotional pain to leave her and not keep in contact? Do you have any way to contact the missing parent? Maybe there is somebody who can help them with what ever is behind their pain. I cannot imagine being willing to leave a child or a spouse, but our prayers are with you. May the hand of God Almighty touch you and comfort you as you and your daughter struggle through the pain. If you don't mind, I will ask BearK to put you both on the prayer team needs list. Just need to talk or vent, PM me any time and I will get back with you when I can.
WALK WITH GOD always.

I'm so sorry for your daughter, I didn't understand your situation. It's certain that NPP can give you very good advice as they therapy dogs and work with abused children.

I could have cried for that baby elephant, how much more tragic it is when human beings treat their young that way. May the Lord guide you, and your daughter, and bring healing to both of you.

No hard feelings...sometimes I cant find the words to speak bc of the heartache that I feel. This is a cruel world but to do your flesh and blood as though your garbage anf can be tossed at any given minute.

The tragedy facing children today is unspeakable. They have become as though invisible, they can't vote so laws are spotty, but the heartbreak they must feel - what did I do, how can I make mommy love me - such heart rending questions. And all you can do is try to comfort them, and try to make plausible excuses for the lacking parent. My heart goes out to both of you, and I will keep you in my prayers.

I have read that God send special angels to watch over children, and I believe that. May your child be blessed with an angel of super proportions.

Believe it or not God has blessed me and her with several angels to watch over us. Your words are also taken to heart.

How are you doing? NPP said you had surgery. May God be with you, and heal you quickly and well. May He also bless you and your daughter.

Please don't push yourself and wear yourself out. It will take time to heal your back, and even more time for you and your daughter to heal and get your lives back on track. God will guide you if you let Him and welcome His help. You mentioned having a dog, which is a welcome companion always. Is it a big or small dog, what kind? Dogs are such comfort and you both need all the comfort you can get. Take care and keep your faith. God be with you both always.
