straightUP-the Pope has a right to his opinion. The reason he needs to stay out of politics is that the IRS will use that to take away the church's tax exempt status. The Pope probably does not realize how devious our government is.
You apparently have a very casual idea of who the Pope is. The kind of people that can be oblivious to the degree of corruption, malice and deceit in our country or any other country do not become popes. Also, the IRS is not authorized to levy taxes or even modify tax laws, they are tasked with facilitating the collection of of taxes for the U.S. Treasury and for auditing transactions to prevent cheating. Also, you're trying to make tax exemption look like something the Vatican has any interest in. Dude... the Vatican...
Google the Vatican's central bank and tell me if you think they look like they need a fucking break from the IRS. And finally, yes, the Pope has a right to his own opinion, as a mortal human. But that isn't all this is. I don't know how religious you are but according to many of those who are, the "opinion" that he recently published, his "Laudato Si' Encyclical", is written as a magisterial teaching, which from the perspective of the flock means the Word of God.
But by all means, consider the possibility that tax policy may be the exception to the Word of God, Right?

No one is say they have. What the scientists are saying is that they have reached consensus, which they have actually described as 98% probable. So for the rest of us it's a matter of playing the odds and being smart.

Yeah, there we go... Have you ever seen the struggle scientists actually go through to fund what they are trying to do? Research and development is a cost center for every organization that supports one. Get real.
