I guess I am trying to say that, if you able to control your rage (I know that for you to acknowledge your rage is out of the question and that is ok for now) and able to feel reasonably non threatened and secure, you might want to just stay in the closet and do whatever else you do to feel secure. I don't know your age, but is your mommy still alive? I knew one adult who sucked his thumb to make him feel less threatened. You might want to try that.
