This is all uncalled for, Archie, I'm always in agreement with what you comment, but not this. He told us a sweet story about his child and Lima beans. Don't like Lima beans, either.

To Archie and lindajoy, I want to express my gratitude to you for your kind words. Right now, on a different thread, there are a couple of your compatriots who are feeling the exact opposite about me, I'm sure. LOL

My hope and desire is that everyone on the OPP could express their viewpoints without resorting to slander and insults. Although, there are occasions where I feel compelled to return fire with like fire. (The other thread is one of those where we have retreated to trading insult for insult. But, that's life on the OPP, sometimes. I'll just not take it personally with the "gentlemen" I'm currently "debating" with. LOL

Again, many thanks for your kind words and know how much I appreciate our discussions and value your points of view, too. I can honestly and openly say that there have been times when what you (both) have posted caused me to re-think my position on a topic and saw where I was in error. Just goes to show that even though I'm an "old dog," I can still learn a few "new tricks," on occasion.

Dr.Dross, I sincerely hope and pray that whatever is going-on in your life, that is having a negative effect on it, that God will show you a way through it, to the betterment of everyone involved. And, if you ever want to discuss something privately, just PM me. The website has a methodology that allows one to do that by clicking on the person's name you want to PM. I have always appreciated your views. I just went a**hole for a bit there. Very embarrassing. Not even clear why. I look forward to a better communication on my part.

If we take politics out of it, and just be people, we would all probably have a blast together.

My son's best friend since 2nd grade is one of them, and he will do anything for my son, or us, for that matter. They/we have a great time together with the occasional friendly jabs, of course.

I, too, have friends on both sides of the spectrum and we have a ball together. Sometimes I like to say something just to get them going and then look out we will war like there's no tomorrow and then sit down and play cards or go to the beach together or just do anything we want to do. There's a learning experience in every person we ever come in contact with and that's what I love, notwithstanding the fact that I just love people..
