They need to just do it. The Feds have always used the threat of withdrawing funds to get their way - they did it in when they wanted to reduce the speed limit to 55 from 75 (in the '70's), they threatened states that wanted to reduce the drinking age to 18 (in the '80's)...it's SOP for the Feds and I really don't see why states are more willing to push back and suffer the consequences for illegal aliens than they were for their fellow Americans. Just stop with the empty threats and rip the friggin' bandaid off for crying out loud...

I find it highly interesting to see a political party who's mantra is "States rights!", and "let the States deal with it", turn to barbaric tactics to - tell the States what to do.

Are they for State rights or are they not? How do they justify choosing which rights the States have and which they do not? This is another example of the rampant hypocrisy prevalent in DC, fomented by Trump and everyone else. The reality is, Trump believes the States have the right to do whatever he tells them to do and not one thing more.

This is bullshit.
