By the Obama administration? So you're telling me that Obama had his own surveillance operation too!!! Come on JW, this is getting hysterical. Had Trump NOT been talking to the Russians then no one would have been listening to him. And for the last time presidents can't put people under surveillance. Justice can only do that and only if there is reasonable suspicions that someone is breaking our laws or, perhaps, in the process of committing treason. This is all Trumps own doing. Had he not climbed into bed with Putin then no one would have had any reason to be listening to his conversations...

Pete, you need to do a little research about this flap the left is trying to twist into something it isn't. If you will do that, you will find that it is perfectly clear that the Russians had nothing to do with Trump being elected. What did have to do with it is Hillary Clinton. If you will look a bit further you will find that Trump was being surveilled by the Government. In fact, yesterday, that came out clearly when the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee stated that there was Government surveillance of Trump. Now maybe you will, like most leftists, deny that Obama knew anything about it. Well, it is completely unreasonable that he did not know. You might start of by looking into a few videos in which Mark Levin lays out the scenario. "Mark Levin?", you say, he's a conservative. Correct, but you are listening to the MSM and CNN etc. They are staying away from this like the plaque, which is typical because they are, Gasp, LEFT-WING, and are pledged to destroy Trump. He isn't going to stand still and let them so easily destroy him. Go ahead, watch Levin's comments. It won't kill you and you might learn something. I guarantee it. Of course you will, like most good leftists, deny anything he says. Continue to read your Media Matters, the Daily Kos, etc but verify some of it with a different source.

No American should take delight in the demise of any elected President. The political, social, and diplomatic upheaval that would occur from such an event would add yet another hazardous layer to an increasingly destabilizing world. Those that remember the Nixon shaming will recall the sense of loss of the value of the American character felt by all and yet what are we to think of this person who seems to have such low impulse control when it comes to something as simple as his cell phone? In his favor are some very serious and competent cabinet members who seem to be able to get on with the business of state in spite of the erratic nonsense being trafficked out of the Oval Office. Will they be enough to offset the Presidential recklessness and bring some common sense and gravitas to the stage? One can only hope so for all our sakes...

From the Wall Street Journal:

President Trump is clinging to his wiretapping claim “like a drunk to an empty gin bottle,” the Wall Street Journal said in a scathing editorial published Tuesday night. And that claim, floating in the president’s “seemingly endless stream of exaggerations, evidence-free accusations, implausible denials and other falsehoods,” is severely damaging his credibility, both at home and abroad.
“If President Trump announces that North Korea launched a missile that landed within 100 miles of Hawaii, would most Americans believe him? Would the rest of the world? We’re not sure,” the paper said.
The Journal slammed Trump’s evidence-free assertion that former President Barack Obama ordered the wiretapping of Trump Tower before the 2016 presidential election. Trump leveled his explosive charge on Twitter on March 4, and the White House has refused to back down, even after FBI Director James Comey dismissed the allegation as unfounded.
“He has offered no evidence for his claim, and a parade of intelligence officials, senior Republicans and Democrats have since said they have seen no such evidence,” the paper’s editorial board wrote.
The president has plenty of media critics, and the Journal’s editorial board was not particularly supportive of his candidacy. But the editorial is striking, given the paper’s traditionally conservative tone. Its owner, Rupert Murdoch, also owns Fox News, Trump’s favorite cable news network.
“Two months into his presidency, Gallup has Mr. Trump’s approval rating at 39 percent,” the editorial continued. “No doubt Mr. Trump considers that fake news, but if he doesn’t show more respect for the truth, most Americans may conclude he’s a fake President.”
The paper also pointed out how Trump’s refusal to back off his evidence-free claim has co-opted what could have been a positive news cycle.
“This week should be dominated by the smooth political sailing for Mr. Trump’s Supreme Court nominee and the progress of health-care reform on Capitol Hill,” the editorial said. “These are historic events, and success will show he can deliver on his promises. But instead, the week has been dominated by the news that he was repudiated by his own FBI director.”

No, you should prepare for President Ryan - as Pence has been compromised as well - unless Ryan goes down as well.

How droll that you should now discredit one of your right wing rags when they have the temerity to point out that the Orange Emperor is unclothed. I have little use for either Hillary or Trump but it is disappointing to see the Donald blow a great opportunity to kick over the political table by miring himself in obsessions about Obama who should be a receding figure in his rear view mirror by now. Hear that silence? That is the sound of the people waiting expectantly for him to stop sucking his thumb and start acting like a grownup and start fulfilling the great insurgent promise he made.

Not droll at all.. Had you watched any of the campaigning you would have seen the news media lie so much even they didn't know Trump was winning all along.. The Globalist were duped, the people said no to the progressive left that pushed too many people to stand and say we're done..

Right now the media is being exposed for their collusion and continuous lies so they have ramped it up with more lies and speculation, as is your article..

Here are a few more~~Dissimination of collected data is against the law.. As is continued "surveillance " without probable cause etc.. That question remains open relative to the purpose and extinct of the surveillance..

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) has said that the U.S. Intelligence Community "incidentally" collected information on President Trump's transition team. The information was then "widely disseminated" in intelligence reports.
"I recently confirmed that on numerous occasions, the intelligence community collected information on U.S. individuals involved in the Trump transition," Nunes told reporters.
This is the smoking gun proving that Trump was indeed correct, that his team was surveilled by the Obama Administration. Let's look at the details.
"Incidental" collection means that the target of the intelligence activities was a foreign target and while underway, information on "U.S. persons" (citizens, green card holders, etc.) was also collected. This happens sometimes, especially with the advanced tools available to the intelligence community. It often cannot be helped.
Under intelligence community rules, in order not to violate the Fourth Amendment regarding illegal search and seizure, any information about American citizens, not related to foreign intelligence, cannot be retained, it has to be destroyed.
However in this case, communications recorded from American citizens, NOT related to foreign intelligence, made its way into intelligence reports and was disseminated for its political value. No FISA court order, all legal rights bypassed.
This is illegal.
This proves that President Trump was correct.
The Obama Administration allowed our intelligence services to continue collecting on the Trump transition team. Could it even be that a low value collection operation was continued just because the "incidental" information had political value?
Anyone honest in this chain of events, from the intel community to the political class who consume this information, would have immediately raised a red flag. Why didn't they? Many people should be fired over this, and perhaps thrown in jail.
The Democrats want to bury this.
"If accurate, this information should have been shared with members of the committee, but it has not been," Schiff said in a statement. "The chairman also shared this information with the White House before providing it to the committee, another profound irregularity, given that the matter is currently under investigation. I have expressed my grave concerns with the chairman that a credible investigation cannot be conducted this way."
When President Trump was asked if he felt vindicated, he said, "I somewhat do. I must tell you I somewhat do," he said at the White House. "I very much appreciated the fact that they found what they found."
I suspect this is the tip of the iceberg.
While we anticipate the mainstream media will not cover this topic adequately, we urge Congress to launch a full scale investigation, investigate the chain of events top to bottom, and clean house.
Author's note: As a former intelligence officer, I can tell you this would NEVER happen in the CIA I was a part of. Collecting information a U.S. person, without a warrant was a quick trip to the unemployment line, with a possible long rest stop in jail.

Apparently, liberals were right to be worried about all of those “Russia connections” that they’ve been obsessing over for the last few months. The only problem is that they were wrong about who they were worrying about.

Instead of focusing their time and energy on President Donald Trump and his campaign team, liberals should have been vetting their own team for these Russia ties.

The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group has discovered that Hillary Clinton’s right-hand man, John Podesta, was on the board of 3 different companies that are closely related to a parent company by the name of Rusnano. Rusnano is a Russian state-run company that was founded by none other than Vladimir Putin and over the years has doled out tens of millions of dollars to the Podesta linked firms. The three companies that Podesta helped lead were Boston-based Joule Unlimited; Rotterdam-based Joule Global Holdings; Joule Global Stichting, the company’s controlling interest. All three companies are high-tech renewable energy enterprises.

Three months after Podesta’s arrival, Joule Unlimited accepted a 1 billion ruble investment from Rusnano, amounting to $35 million in U.S. currency. The firm also awarded a Joule board seat in February 2012 to Anatoly Chubais, Rusnano’s CEO, who has been depicted as a corrupt figure…

One potential legal problem for him relates to the time he joined former President Barack Obama’s White House staff in 2014 as a senior counselor and failed to reveal his 2011 Joule stock vesting agreement in his government financial disclosure form. <snip>

There is no proof whatsoever that Obama ordered the wiretapping of Trump. Republicans have a habit of changing the definition of words. Nunez is full of it! Why not share this information with the committee? Nunez is a hack and should be booted! Trump says he feels somewhat vindicated. Why? Either he has evidence or he doesn't! These people are slime!

Presidents can do anything they choose. They can blow up aspirin factories to divert attention from blow jobs; they can kill their own citizens and never be held accountable; they can start wars killing millions by the time they're done.

The intelligence community is part of the executive branch, directly under Presidential authority, so is the Justice Dept., by the way.

You have a lot to learn about how our government works, in theory and in fact.

My grandfather taught me that to know the truth requires the same story from several sources and the truth will be found in the differences in how those sources will tell their stories. I don't know if that makes sense to you but his direction has proven to be accurate. In other words, never drink the Kool Aid, no matter who offers it.
