God you're dumb. Not surprising from someone that's been on someone else's dime all his life. If the costs passed on to the customer are to high and the customer can't afford it their is no product to sell.

More goober logic with nothing but gibberish to back it up. If companies have to increase costs to do business, those increases are passed on to the customers. Happens all the time in all businesses. There has been no reduction in the amount of coal harvested in this country, but there has been major changes to harvesting methods.....those coal mining jobs, that orangutan promised, are gone forever and this is just another empty promise the orange ass hole cannot fill. Just as the thread topic stated Trump has accomplished and will not accomplish anything.

Strictly goober logic. The emission from coal fired plants can be altered, cleaned and adjusted to reduce the amount of carbons emitted. This has nothing to do with the amount of coal harvested or how the coal is harvested and to try and equate the amount of coal harvested to the way the coal is used is not only disingenuous but it is also stupid.

Don't you love Trump's new plan? Close the coal fired.plants, increase coal production at least 300%, put all those minors back to work, and sell all the coal to China. They are going to burn it anyway so we may as well make a buck. And the minors pay taxes too. Looks like a win--win--win. Unless you see something wrong there.

That Trump guy. He sure knows how to make money.

I believe the implication is that Obama figured to raise the cost of the energy production to where the coal plants could no longer compete price wise.

Doya think?

Since coal fired energy has dropped from 50% to 33% of our energy supply but you say coal production hasn't reduced, where does the excess coal go?

Ass hole, you know nothing about me or the life or way I live, so shove it. The cost of a product has nothing to do with the need for the product. People buy shit they need, no matter what the cost.

A lot wrong there. Those miners have been replaced by giant earth machines but boal fired plants are alive and well and will be for the foreseeable future, so their need for the product does not diminish. Some mined coal will still be shipped to China because that's what we do....export. Instead of 50 miners paying taxes, you will have only 2 heavy equipment operators, employed to extract the coal from mines, paying taxes....lost jobs and lost tax revenue. Looks like a win, win, lose, lose to me.

Rightwing speculation with nothing to support such but talk radio BS. The aim was to decrease carbon emissions to try to protect and preserve the environment.......nothing more. Why would any person in political power advocate the demise of any business?

What the f%$k does this have to do with trump promising to bring coal mining jobs back? Not a damn thing, but idiots like you, using hillbilly logic try to conflate everything to be connected. He hasn't done shit and he will not accomplish shit for what I expect to be a very short term in office.......so f$%k off!

Jack, if the cost of adhering to Obama's regulations force the utility to increase its price to its customers to keep from losing money, and that increase in price is no longer competitive with other energy producing utilities, that first utility is forced to close and ultimately the industry is shut down.

If you were as on the ball as you think you are, you wouldn't need this explained to you like you are a 6 year old child.

You are either a troll, being argumentative for fun, or incredibly dumb.

Either way there is nothing to be gained from further discussion with you because you are either too dense to learn, refuse to admit it when you are wrong, or you don't want to discuss anything.

Enjoy the vacuum.

If we sell all our coal to china, our minors will have years of job security especially if production triples, we clean our air by closing all the plants, and a lot of money comes back home. That's a win--win--win.

And the coal industry disagrees with your assessment. Some jobs will change of necessity but handlers will be in demand not to mention truck drivers, mechanics, etc.

Did you maybe notice how Obama pushed alternate energy? And did you notice he publicly said many times that even refitted coal fired plants were too dirty.

You spend too much time defending him and too little looking at the bottom line. If he wanted those plants to remain open why did his regulations close some. Only those owned by the largest corps can compete today.

How do you feel about closing nuclear plants? Is that good also? Do you know how the waste is contained and disposed of? In fact, do you even know some nuclear plants have closed due to regulations?

Let's look at it this way.

The coal industry was chugging along. New regulations closed many plants putting many out of work. The regulations are lifted. Ergo...?

You don't have the smarts to explain shit to me when you can't grasp the concept that mining coal has changed. When you can't understand that Trump did not promise to change the way coal is used, he promised to bring coal mining jobs back. That ain't going to happen.
