Hey watch yourself with those Crusade comments. Some people round here have sensitive feelings. Your Muslim buddies are still pissed about the Crusades. As if that and not the Turks was responsible for the decline of Pax Arabia.

I'll answer that. Jesus' job is to tend to those whom His Father has given to Him. He is training and teaching God's elect, through His Word, to obey the Commandments of God. To know and understand the Truth of His Word, and to develop and grow into the Children of God with loving, Godly character. Ultimately, this will lead to eternal life in the Kingdom of God. The ones God is calling now will inherit and co-rule with Jesus. Quite a 'job', isn't it?

I think Cool Breeze meant something else. I said " To take part in a Gay Wedding would be a betrayal of Christian Principles. " Then he said that was Jesus' job. He can be somewhat cryptic in his responses, which is quite convenient when he needs to deny what he said. I guess he implies that Christians have no business judging a Gay Wedding.

Oh, you mean "Peccatum illud horribile, inter christianos non nominandum" (That horrible crime not to be named among Christians)?

So, what does the BIBLE say about homosexuality?

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman.
It is an abomination."
(Leviticus 18:22)

"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman,
both of them have committed an abomination.
They shall surely be put to death.
Their blood shall be upon them."
(Leviticus 20:13)

“A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man,
nor shall a man put on a woman's garment,
for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God."
(Deuteronomy 22:5)

"Do you not know that the unrighteous
will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God"
Do not be deceived.
Neither fornicators, ...
nor adulterers,
nor homosexuals,
nor sodomites,
nor thieves, ...
will inherit the Kingdom of God.
And such were some of you. (We are all sinners ... 'Repent' means stop and return to God)
But you were washed (by the innocent blood of Jesus which was shed for all of our sins)
But you were sanctified (means "set apart")
But you were justified (justified means "just as if it had never happened ...")
in the Name of the Lord Jesus
and by the Spirit of our God."
(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

And God warns all those who simply "approve of" these things . . .

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men . . .
For even their women exchanged the natural use
for what is against nature (lesbianism).
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman,
burning in their lust for one another,
men with men committing what is shameful (homosexuality) . . .
that those who practice these things are worthy of death (Hell),
and not only those who do the same
but also those who approve of those who practice them!"
(Romans 1:18, 26, 27, 32)

(Note: Other offenses were also included which were not listed here.)

Here, God clearly warns all those who simply "approve of " these things will be held just as accountable as those who actually do them. This is God's Word in the Bible. This applies to churches and pastors/ministers/priests/rabbis as well. If you are in a church whose leaders "approve of" or support this activity, remember the Bible warns many churches will turn away from God's Word and will "depart from the faith" and "will no longer endure sound doctrine" (1 Timothy 4:1-3, 2 Timothy 4:3-5, Jude 1:3-6).

The Bible is not ambiguous in its message concerning homosexuality. Homosexuality is not new. God never calls for capital punishment, or calls anything "profane" or an "abomination" if it is simply "genetic." When we study the passages concerning Sodom and Gomorrah, it appears homosexuality, or sodomy, is symptomatic of a people who have willfully rejected and defiantly mock God’s laws in order to do "that which is right in their own eyes." Sodom and Gomorrah were given as warnings . . .

"As Sodom and Gomorrah,
and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, (a total of 5 cities were destroyed)
having given themselves over to sexual immorality
and gone after strange flesh, (homosexuality)
are set forth as an example,
suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
(Jude 1:7)

"And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes,
condemned them (Sodom and Gomorrah) to destruction,
making them an example
to those who afterward would live ungodly ..."
(2 Peter 2:6)

Who Loves the Homosexual More?

The Christian (any follower of Jesus Christ) is commanded to "love others" and treat them as we would want to be treated. According to the Bible, a person living in homosexual sin "will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven" (1 Corinthians 6:9-11), and those who "approve of those who do such things" will be held just as guilty. In the Bible, we find Jesus Christ's first command was to "repent" (turn away from those things which are against God's Law) and then to trust in Him alone to save us from all our sins. He said He came to "save sinners" ... lots of them ... both Jew and Gentile ... any and all who will love, believe, and trust in Him. The Bible warns until we acknowledge we are sinners and we desperately need a Savior (to save us from our sins ... past, present, and future) we won't be saved from Hell . . .

So, who loves the homosexual more? One who tells them it's okay to continue in a sin the Bible warns will condemn them to an eternity in Hell ... or someone who is willing to endure the anger, ridicule, and hate to warn them and to try to get them into Heaven as a neighbor and as a friend? In Proverbs 27:6 God says, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend ... but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." Jesus Christ said more about Hell than He did about Heaven ... and the true believing Christian will try to get as many boys, girls, men, and women into the Kingdom of Heaven as possible. If a Christian truly hated the homosexual (or anyone willfully sinning against God's law) they would simply keep silent and let them suffer in the eternal darkness, loneliness, and torment of Hell. Yet, all believing Christians have had to come face-to-face with the fact we are all sinners and desperately need a 'Savior' to save us from our sins and from Hell. Jesus Christ commands us to 'love our enemies' ... and you can't love someone without warning them when they are in great and grave danger.

It is false doctrine in direct opposition to God's Word that teaches God's "love" approves of or accepts homosexuality. The Bible clearly says homosexuality-lesbianism is sin. Jesus said He came to save sinners ... Jesus suffered and died for all sinners. And we are all sinners. God hates sin because He endured the Cross to suffer and die for all our sins ... and because He knows the terrible consequences.

The Bible warns anybody who "defends" or "approves of" or "promotes" or "protects" this sin (or any sin) has openly declared their opposition to God and His Word by trying to block His loving and gracious efforts to reach out and save them. That is why He pleads with all to repent (turn away) from doing those things that are against His laws, His statutes, and His rules ... and with tears of joy and with the open arms of a loving Father He will richly forgive and welcome all back who return to Him.

Please remember, our God is a forgiving God who will forgive any and all who have sinned against Him. Any sinner, including those who have walked the path of homosexuality, can be lovingly forgiven and washed clean through the blood of the Lamb, and then graciously clothed in His Righteousness.

Seems to me the verdict is already well and truly given. No need for further judgement.

No man has the right to judge another person's life. Only God has that right, when we meet our judgment day!

Why not ask me what I think instead of demonstrating your arrogance in doing my thinking for me?

Why ask you anything? You do not answer. Not in understandable English. You like to play games instead of being brutally honest and clear the way I strive to be.
