Like everything else the left will make fun of this until someone like that idiot Maddow has a special on What Wall? While she's talking and yuking it up their will be a picture on the screen behind her of a thirty foot wall Trump has had built.

I do not get the bidding. It sounds like one company is going to get the
contract.

SHIT...Chop up the border with 10 companies assigned
X# of miles. Build it 10 times as fast.
I'm just sayin'...
ThunderBolt

BTW,I wish this was true!

I think there is so much that is good about the wall and nobody is talking about it. First it physically will slow the flood of illegals. Second it makes a political statement to the World. The USA is no longer a patsy. You can no longer shame us into taking your wretched refuse. You can no longer flood us with the people you want to get rid of. Third it is infrastructure stimulus. That is good, right? Fourth, it does not have to be ugly. Like the great Wall of China it can be made beautiful. It can be designed as a tourist attraction.

The left says a wall won't work because they act like Trump just wants to build a wall and that's it. He is increasing surveillance. He has hired thousands more border patrol. They are talking high tech deterrents and the best part; no more Obama welcome wagon.

Walls work. period. Somebody name me one that did not. By itself it is not enough, but as part of a security plan it is money better spent than Obama's Green Energy debacles. I think to throw the stupids a bone, Trump could put solar panels on top of the wall. I bet there might be a lot of scrap solar panels lying around somewhere in garbage dumps from when Solyndra died. Then again solar panels are ugly. Better to leave them in the garbage.

Besides, to work they would need to be on the south (Mexican) side of the wall.

Witless, sure wish we had all of the technology that went away to china when Soly collapsed. The PV panels that they were producing are light years ahead of what's available @ this time to the American market. I sometimes wonder if we weren't just funding chinese research for them. Obuttboy sure tried hard to ruin America.

If Solyndra's products were so good, why did they fail?

The actual question is why obama poured millions in right before they went bankrupt and the chinese got to take it all home with them? I was trying to work with them and never found a company trying to sell product that seemed like it didn't want to sell product .

Obama always put politics above all else. The pressure was on to build the green economy and reality be damned. I know the political side and you seem to know the business side. I am anti solar because I have seen the way the solar industry corrupts politics. If it stood on it's own feet I would not be so hostile. I am curious as to why the Chinese got the technology after the bankruptcy. Did they buy it at a fire sale?

Son of Witless, The prices that it sold for were never available to us little guys. Much of our tech has been sold off to the chinese. I completely agree with you about any of the alternative energy sources, except I want all of it to be available without govt. intrusion. Most of Tesla's best work is still hidden from us. Most of the best affordable energy has been suppressed by the govt. or really large corporate interests. For those who don't believe it, I have personal knowledge of a carburetor manufactured here in Wisconsin that delivered over 60 mpg in 1946. That was with an all steel large American passenger car. Ford bought the patent and that's the last we heard of it until I did my digging and spoke with people who were there. That's where it ends due to the family members who are still alive that refuse to even speak with me about anything to do with it.

I am sorry, but I heard that 60 MPG carburetor story back in the 1970s. I lived through the gas lines and odd-even pumping. There were all kinds of such unprovable tales floating around then. My thoughts were always that if such a thing existed you could never keep it off the market. Like why would Ford kill such a device? They sell cars, not oil. That carburetor would have given Ford an unstoppable competitive advantage.

Also say you did kill it, somebody would have used those principles and reinvented it. In the 70s there were all kinds of crazy technologies. Most of them were crap. Any one of them that did work would have made you rich.
