Isadore Duncan. the mother of modern dance, supposedly met Einstein, and in conversation suggested that they should have a child, how wonderful that would be, with his mind and her body. To which Einstein responded, " Suppose the child had your mind and my body?". That ended the conversation.

Isadora Duncan was asked, "What is the meaning of your dance?" She replied, "If I could explain it, I would not have to dance it." Literal minds cannot begin to fathom such an answer. If it is not black and white it is hooey; that is a terrorist plot. Terrorism is the small mind, the literal mind, the closed mind. All that is sacred and good and beautiful about humanity is discarded in such brains in favor of how instead to deal with people. How to keep them quiet and orderly and compliant.

Partisanship is one of the major horrors of humanity. It is colorful apathy. There is no soul or heart or decency to it. Left or Right. We have been given the extraordinary gift of Reason. Forsaking that incredible gift for ideology betrays oneself and humanity.

The meaning of her dance was that men like naked women and she danced naked. It was all very Arty so even though it was scandalous she got away with it in Europe. In reading her autobiography "Isadora Duncan My Life" I came away with the conviction that this was one very ditzy woman. Her views of Art with a capital A and her belief that her dance was its epitome was repeated ad nauseam, more self accolades would be dificult to achieve. Immodest, self aggrandizing, her characterization of her dance as free flowing denoted a lack of conformity to any conventional form of dance. Some Quotes from her book review:

“it was interesting coming from her point of view, however it was extremely self-aggrandizing and showed that she had little insight into her own psyche”

“But what she does manage to do is harp on about all her dancing talents without lassitude. It seems that she was always showered and covered in flowers. This became tiresome. Lauding your own plaudits is not an attractive quality to behold. Her writing style made her heroic, larger-than-life journey of movement, dance and freedom of expression into a comical pantomime”

“she had no previous training as a dancer and taught dance from the age of ten, with great success. Seriously? When asked who taught her to dance, she answered: “Terpsichore.” She was living in a parallel universe, surely”

"The most humorous aspect of this mémoire is that even though she claims to have often been impecuniously poor, she was still able to act like a complete and utter supercilious snob when she was down on her luck and apparently sleeping on park benches in central London. She never seems to speak about those times with understanding.

Many people have said that she wasn’t given enough credit for what she accomplished. The fact is this; the world knows the name Isadora Duncan, surely this is mission accomplished. Even so, not to worry, she gave herself enough credit in this memoire."
