I have argued with Dross, permafrost and Glaucon; but like all Liberals eventually they become unreasonable, and do not try to explain why their "party" is better for the country. They are hung up on trivialities; attacking Trump or his policies, but won't attempt to understand the consequences of Liberal policies, even though it is becoming apparent what those policies have done to the country. They will deny the country's problems are the result of Leftist/Liberal policies. It is obvious they are trying to stay away from the essential argument: that of Socialist policies vs. Capitalist principles.

The other reason true debates are becoming impossible is the lack of "facts". The Lefties have their own, and mainly, illegitimate and irrelevant "facts." You know I've said there are no "facts" in today's world; no matter what "fact" a conservative will come up with, a Liberal will produce, somehow, a contradictory fact. So truth must be determined by one's ability to reason, and to understand motivation. Lefties IMPOSE "motivation" on others; they do not try to understand human nature. And for Socialism and its knockoffs, human nature is confined to a desire for one's material good. If all had the same "stuff", if no one had more than others, there would be no conflict.

Remember it is the metaphorical Final Battle of Ignazio Silone: that of an ex-Communist vs. a Communist. The individual vs. the collective. That is the battle the Liberals deny is occurring.

And so they try to argue trivialities with "facts" that none can prove or disprove.

I've read any number of your posts and must say this is simply outstanding and fact based, removing the need to be offensive in the realization of what is said.

Unfortunately politics generate passion which often leads to intentional misprint, only quoting a portion of an article that supports their position or twisting the one you posted...No level to attempt mutality of the topic only that which fits their need....

It's not an ability to debate it is the dogmatism, rather than pragmatic approach.. The mind is shut down or turned off lacking an ability to " reason" objectively...From that begin the snide remarks, name calling and intended want to hurt the other posters. As if they could.....

The only "facts" I think I used are facts of human nature and facts of Marxist thought. The Left can not refute those particular facts.
