Trump To Take $2 Billion From The EPA

$2 billion! That's $2,000,000,000! What on this green Earth do they do with $2 billion? Is the EPA as a necessity or have they been getting too much funding for too long?

That's $2 billion out of the EPA’s $8.1 billion budget. Trump also "proposed reducing EPA’s 15,000-strong workforce to 12,000, a level not seen since the mid-1980s". Gee, that's $667,000 per employee. There goes $2 billion right there!

State and tribal grants make up about 43 percent of EPA’s budget, that's roughly $69 million per State. The rest? Who knows?

Good .The E.P.A. has gotten to powerful, today its legislating climate policy under the guise of implementing a statute, the Clean Air Act, enacted in 1970, years before global warming was even a gleam in Al Gore’s eye. This is an egregious breach of the separation of powers. The claim that Congress gave E.P.A. such expansive powers in 1970 but just forgot to tell anybody is absurd.

For many years we had no EPA. Why do we need them now? All those employees making money doing nothing but causing us trouble. The Department of Education could be closed down and quite a few others. We might be able to become an economically functioning nation again.

That seems to be the general idea.

I agree, abolish the EPA and the DOE.

It's a start.. I would have closed them up...Useless and take jobs from people with their trumped up lying reports.. Climate change a perfect example of pandering to the money....

They have more restrictions in place by Trump's administration too that should help in the future... Cut that workforce by half at the very least!!

Passssst! Hey Linda, it's Ash Wednesday not St. Patrick's unless, of course, you're not giving up lunch at the pub for the next 40 days. If not, every day is St Patrick's Day and every night too.

So the priest imposed ashes on the young girl's head saying, "remember man thou are but dust and unto dust thou shall return." When they got outside the little girl motioned to her mother to get down so she could whisper in her. She asked her mother, " mom, what is butt dust?"
