The Chickens Have Come Home to Roost

Last week, The Wall Street Journal revealed that members of the intelligence community – part of the deep state, the unseen government within the government that does not change with elections – now have acquired so much data on everyone in America that they can selectively reveal it to reward their friends and harm their foes. Their principal foe today is the president of the United States.
Liberty is rarely lost overnight. The wall of tyranny often begins with benign building blocks of safety – each one lying on top of a predecessor – eventually collectively constituting an impediment to the exercise of free choices by free people, often not even recognized until it is too late.
The chickens have come home to roost. In our misguided efforts to keep the country safe, we have neglected to keep it free. We have enabled a deep state to become powerful enough to control a powerful president. We have placed so much data and so much power in the hands of unelected, unaccountable, opaque spies that they can use it as they see fit -- even to the point of committing federal felonies. Now some have boasted that they can manipulate and thus control the president of the United States by selectively revealing and concealing what they know about anyone, including the president himself.
This is a perilous state of affairs, brought about by the maniacal passion for surveillance spawned under George W. Bush and perfected under Barack Obama -- all with utter indifference to the widespread constitutional violations and permanent destruction of personal liberties. This is not the government the Framers gave us. But it is one far more dangerous to human freedom than the one from which they seceded in 1776.

I just don't believe they are going to control President Trump!! HE does not CARE what they THINK they have on him, because evidently they don't have MUCH!! IF they did, they would be using it now instead of MAKING UP SHIT about him!!!

I think you are right about President Trump......he is fighting them as we speak. The down side is that we have no idea how far his opponents will go to have their way. Frankly, I believe many on the political left have no conscience, and will commit murder or pay for someone to murder certain ones on the right. I believe that has always been true. The political left is not comprised of decent people. The political left is primarily mentally warped individuals, some to the point of insanity. It's difficult to KNOW what they may do.

Exactly!! But I know one thing, IF Mr. Trump is assassinated, we know EXACTLY WHO to go after!!! The LIBERALS ARE DONE!! They may not realize it yet, but, they ARE!!! WE THE PEOPLE have been WOKEN UP by President Trump, and we are NOT going back to sleep anytime soon!!!

If Trump is assassinated, I hope enough on the right will stand up and stop the political left from stealing the White House.....that would be their goal. I doubt they would assassinate President Trump, but they have no morals whatsoever and they have the media, and I believe they think they can get away with practically anything, and that makes me worry. You are so right about Trump voters......we will not ever again tolerate the left's desire to rule the world because we are more aware of the problems than the left is. If the left touches anything, it dies, does not work, is a failure, does more harm than good. And that makes them hate us all the more. They are mentally warped.

The problem that arises with this issue falls to the question of will they take the chance as they did with Kennedy. I say no. We the people will take control this time. As you can see the Global agenda is collapsing as we speak. Leaving the CiA and related agency's, in a quandary. Believe it or not, they are shaking in their boots.

Yes, I think you are right. I believe almost everyone connected to our federal government is shaking in his boots - problem is, I think their concerns are more about their personal concerns than about the nation's concerns. I am quite concerned about all that is happening. Our nation is out of control, has overspent its capability to pay, and incompetence of our government is the sum total CAUSE of our problems, and the officials KNOW it.

That's what I do also. I also live in the country. Nearest City is 20 mi. away. And although I do make there for necessities, I don't care to spend all of my time there. So i go online. I read a lot online, and pass it along!!

You are RIGHT about THAT!!! Their concerns ARE of a PERSONAL nature!! They are afraid of losing their cushy jobs with their CASH-COW paychecks!!!

Our nearest grocery, hospital, clinic, doctor, dentist, car repair shop, Walmart, etc are 30 miles from where we live. We go in when necessary. Our lives seem close to identical. I do believe that people who live out in the countryside are more aware what is going on than do those who live in cities. I have nothing to base that belief on.....it's just a gut feeling.

I lived in Detroit for 2 years, and believe me, I KNOW why they don't know what is going on. They don't want to know. I never met my neighbors on either side, and did not want to.
I lived right on a corner and one night, late, I heard sirens. I looked out my second story bedroom window and saw 4 cop cars surrounding one car in the middle, then came 4 more cars, then 4 more cop cars. I thought there was going to be a war right there. I got my boys up and took them to the basement. till all of them were gone. no war, but I started looking for another place the next day.
The only reason I rented that house was because it belonged to my Sister-in-Law, and she wanted to rent it out and I needed a place to live. But I moved soon after to a little nicer area. There weren't a whole lot of GOOD places to live in Detroit. That I could afford as a single Mom.
So when someone drove by my boys school shooting into the playground, we moved OUT of Detroit. I was raised Country and have been Country AGAIN ever since Detroit!! In the Country, you don't have to fear your neighbors, or didn't used to. With all of the garbage going on today, it is hard to know anymore!!!
