Because we were not IN the recession till close to the end of Bush's time in the WH!! And THAT was caused by Todd and Franks by their Housing FIASCO!!! I agree with you to a point...I was a loan officer at the time. A lot of those people have to take accountability for their own actions. I would tell them this would harm them in the long run...and even show them how it would. Seems they didn't care about the long range, only the quick fix. I refused to sell the 125 second even tho people refinancing were clamoring for it.

I agree with you to a point too. But, you take a family that has never known anything but the GHETTO, and offer them a HOME, and CONVINCE them they CAN afford it, and what do you get? You get exactly what we had. A LOT of people that were LIED TO AGAIN. A LOT of people that just wanted a better life, and thought their Govt had just given it to them.
IMO it was just another SCHEME by the left, to CAUSE a recession to blame on Republicans to get Dems in office!!! I know that sounds far-fetched, but, the Liberals have proven OVER AND OVER that they will stop at NOTHING to get where they want to be!!!
