John McCain said this morning "If you want to preserve democracy as we know it, you have to have a free -- and many times adversarial -- press".

Apparently John McCain believes the adversarial news is to use yellow journalism as perfectly legitimate. Where the news medias are free to to subvert. It surely appears that John McCain IS a rino ( Republican in name only).

The medias responsibility is to report true factual news, not yellow journalism. Nor is it to be biased in the reporting; which has been the case since Trump had been running for POTUS and then, elected AS POTUS and has exacerbated.

It's clear that the Democrats agenda, which has been running on track for decades is in jeopardy of failing. The misuse and abuse of our constitution by all facets of this Government is more clear today than at any other time. The progressive agenda proponents are fighting very hard to retain what they've lost and are still losing.

Everyone has interpretations of EO's and goals that are trying to be met, thus the varying interpretations prevent the meeting of the minds. The progressives and medias continually skew information.

There will be knee jerk reactions just because of the misinterpretations of what's happening, until further investigations of what really did or didn't happen the abatement of truth is all that's left. Most likely the progressives will continue to start new fires and the medias will continue the subterfuge.

So, you think that when Trump comes out and bald face lies to you the press should just go along with it? I'd like to know what the real truth is and not live under a rock. Trump doesn't have a meeting of the minds even in the white house. Everyone there has a different story.

Ginger,

I do not think that the intent is to cover up lies, like they did with obama and his staff, but rather report unbiased news. News should be based on facts and not on the politics of the owners of the service and news should be investigated and not merely repeated because another syndicate printed it. Once upon a time, we had journalists, now we have a copy and paste media that searches the internet for reliable sources. If we returned to true news reporting, then regardless if the news is good, bad, or indifferent then we could say that we are informed. As it is...well, we have opinions based on political bias.

Everyone that lies to us should be exposed, no matter their party. For decades, the liberally owned and controlled MSM has been lying to advance their agenda. The Left is not used to having their lies exposed. In the 80's they trashed President Reagan more thsn any POUS before or since. No matter how much the press and the teachers trashed him, the American people still loved him, and our enemies feared him. They continue to, as always, trash Conservatives and praise Liberals, no matter the topic being discussed. Trump certainly has his flaws, who doesn't, but at least he doesn't have a record of those that smear him mysteriously dying(like with the Clinton's, last I saw, the number of people getting killed after being a potential threat to their power was 33)The people are sick of business as usual, with the government ignoring the people and doing what they want for their supporters and for themselves. That's why Trump was elected, we need someone who isn't a politician.

That's good! We didn't hear different stories when Obama was in because it wasn't allowed.

The conservatives news channel is Fox News, of which over 60% of their news stories have been proven to be lies! No wonder Trump lies!!!!

Ginger? You haven't been paying attention for the past eight years have you! So far you can't make any comparison of the trumps 31 days in office and the non transparent administration of the lying Obama administration.

Give it a break, you haven't got a clue of what's happened. Trying to compare 31 days to 2920 approx. days.

I think the media should report news comprised of facts and not invent "facts" and not embellish anything. Further, I think that giving opinion is not part of "news" except during clearly labeled "op ed" segments so as to clearly separate news from someone's opinion of that news.

I do not need nor want any media telling me how to think.

Do you?

That is why I like Rachel Maddow. If she says Ted Cruz said this, then she shows the tape on him saying that. She always has the proof. If she doesn't have the proof she doesn't run the story. She had that the other night. She said that she had this story but had not as yet found the proof so she was not going to run it.

Obama's entire presidency is on video tape. So far Trump hasn't even allowed a writer to follow him around and write down what he says and does. It looks like the Trump library will be an empty building.

Exactly. News should go back to being strictly "Who, What, When, Where and How"...we're smart enough to figure out the "Why" on our own. News becomes bias and "fake" when the writer interjects their opinion of "why" into the article as facts.

Just because you refuse to follow him on Twitter, or refuse to watch live video feed of his meetings or YouTube videos of his speeches and meetings, doesn't mean he's not communicating with the American people, it just means you would rather be spoon fed news pablum instead of watching raw news and digesting the meaning for yourself.

Well then Ginger, why don't you follow suit of your loved Rachel Madcow. When you state facts, back it up!

Or is it just up to the conservatives? Once the conservatives or the FBI reveals the yellow journalism of the medias and the false accusations of the progressives along with the bobbleheads all in unison nodding, yup, yup, yup, then start more false stories to run into the ground, which finally, showing them to be fake news or false rumors started by the ILK of the likes like Obama, Schumer, Pelosi,McCain and Hillary hiding in the corner.
