Hi,Actually the car,im talking about,was a 2012 Camaro,It would not have needed a brain surgeon,to change the alternator,in less than 1 hour.I agree,there are SOME cars,that are really tough to repair, my buddies ford pickup needed spark plugs changed,I dont remember the price quoted for that job, only thing I really remember,was that the mechanic was going to lift the cab off of the chassis,to change the plugs. My mechjanic,used a hole saw,drilled a hole on each side of the trans tunnel,I THINK he used a 2 inch hole saw, changed plugs,he filled the holes with a snap in plastic plug,the whole job took less than 2 hours, my buddy went back to ford and asked them why they couldnt do that,their answer was that ford wouldnt let them.
