I can understand what the liberal politicians get when in power. They get a bunch of followers who give them unlimited power. They can proclaim unfairness for the masses, income inequality, the evils of capitalism, human rights violations, etc. They know they can lie and cheat and their followers will still back them because they have no honor. When was the last time a liberal politician was forced from power by his base? They promise to take from the productive and give to the unproductive. They say health care is a right and you won't have to pay for it if your a certain kind of person. They laugh all the way to the bank. I can't for the life of me see what the fools get out of electing these liberals.
Here is what we have gotten so far. A much weaker standing in the world. When the U.S. leaves a place the influence void is filled and usually not by one of our friends.
We are no longer seen as a world power. This administration is perceived weak and ineffectual. We get many more people at home on food stamps, long term unemployment that has turned into another welfare program, a president that lies at will and a news media that is just another piece of the administrative branch. We get minorities who are so disenfranchised and ignorant that the promise of a free Obamaphone, food stamps, subsidized housing, free health care, and no personal responsibility standards guarantee a 90% voting block. What have they really gotten? A 70% out of wedlock birth rate. A huge portion of the minority populations baby's daddy is the federal government. 50% of the inner city kids don't graduate from the failing public school system, but all the liberals say is just throw more money at education and it will be fixed. It doesn't matter that we have been doing that forever. 13% of the population commit over 75% of the crime. Lets not forget the benevolent unions you libs love. You love the idea of jacking up the minimum wage. You think the unions want the wage hiked because they are looking out for the little guy. You don't realize most union wages are on a pay scale. If the minimum wage goes up everyone's wages go up. Even left wing economists agree that a large minimum wage hike will cost jobs and hurt people on a fixed income. Don't you libs have grandparents? You also want open borders so all the poor people from other countries can come here and succeed . That may have been why are forefathers came here but now we get people crossing the border because our taxpayer subsidized welfare system gives these people more than they had in their country. By the way you want to let in a bunch of uneducated, unskilled workers and at the same time raise the minimum wage. Do you honestly think that makes sense? You hate capitalism and corporations but you have no problem using all the advanced technology at your fingertips supplied by the very ideas you despise. Capitalism is not perfect but it has lifted more people out of poverty than any other system. You espouse championing the poor but it is a proven fact that conservatives give much more of our money to charities than liberals. So when you vote for an Obama or Pelosi or any other lefty what do you think you are getting for your vote? Do you just feel better because they care? Do you feel guilty that you are successful or are you on the taxpayers dole? Some on this site defend liberalism but most of the time they do so by calling names, or disparaging others with dissimilar views. Hardly ever do they use hard provable facts to support their drivel.

You have just expressed in detail two simple realities.

1) a majority of people are stupid and prefer to remain stupid rather than make the effort to educate themselves and improve themselves.

2) a majority of people prefer to hear and accept a lie rather than the truth. If you gave a multiple choice test and asked people to choose which kind of government or leader they prefer and with each choice you stated for them that one was a lie, and one was the truth, they would still choose the lie.

The unfortunate truth is that politicians know these two simple realities and prefer to use them for their own benefit rather than do what is best for the people and the country.

This post was good enough to cut and paste and sent to a Senator or two. Raising wages to $15.00 an hour will royally screw those on an sort of fixed income and in less than a year do nothing for those on minimum wage.

I do have a few questions for you; Should healthcare be a business or a service to the public? Should someone, besides some insurance executive have control of your healthcare?

Exactly how are we weaker in the world? Does these mean some middle east countries are no longer afraid we are going to attack them because we don't like their rulers?

Should not a country's ruler's be looking out for their country instead of doing what some other country wants. We do not what some other country tell us what to do, so why should they?

The increase in the use of food stamp has to do with the economy, not who is in office. Long term unemployment has to do with the lack of jobs that pay a living wage, because businesses sent the jobs overseas.

I could go on and on with many of the points you make, but I think you may or may not get my point, there are two ways to view most anything, until both sides can talk with out attacking the other sides opinion we as a country will continue to slip in place.

Healthcare should be a business because it is not one of the enumerated activities the government is granted in the US Constitution. Healthcare is an intensely PRIVATE business for the patient. He can trust no one talks about his health care or private information. Hospitals have strict rules about that, and those abusing those rules WILL BE PUNISHED. We are weaker in the world because the world sees us as weaker. They see us as weaker because they see a Commander in Chief who has never commanded even a lemonade stand, let alone a military. They also see a CinC in America now who hasn't a clue re foreign policy or war or negotiations. Additionally they see a CinC who is derided by people like me who views him as an imposter, an anti-American imposter who, if he was truly "elected", was elected by a bunch of morons. The world sees US citizens as a bunch of weak-kneed losers, thanks solely to Obama and his followers. I am sorry if you don't like my saying these things, but they are true, and you DID ask.

Not sure why this question comes up, but let me answer it from more of a libertarian standpoint and my own personal viewpoint. A country's ruler should be looking out for his own country. My question is WHY isn't he doing so? He has driven jobs out of the country by driving businesses out of the country. His REAL job should be to make the atmosphere for business and jobs pleasant or at least not unpleasant. HE has done the exact opposite. As he has never run a business, never owned a business, never worked for a business, his actions MAY have been due to sheer stupidity, but a President who doesn't alter stupidity is a severe danger to the nation, regardless if he thinks he is God. This president has done more to harm the nation than any president in this nation's history. I THINK what you are really asking are these things: Why isn't Obama providing more jobs? (Answer: he has no jobs to offer and no way to pay for jobs. Additionally that isn't what he is supposed to be doing). Why isn't he doing a better job on Obamacare? Because he has accomplished what he set out to do - Obamacare is not about your health or my health - it is about control of subjects, and chaos will rein terribly when the million or so people who had good policies can no longer keep them and Obamacare will never function properly, thank GOD!)

I bet you know when the exit of jobs overseas got its biggest push..With globalization and changing of tax laws which in effect gave biz a bonus to move operations overseas...That was in the 1980s, a different President was in office. Obama has had nearly no effect one way or the other on jobs leaving our nation..
