I was so proud of Texas when I read that, 8 years, she'll do 3 maybe. It's still better than a slap on the wrist, I await the news she's been deported. I was born and raised in Texas, I'm proud the govenor is listening to us. Maybe after setting a few examples with prison terms, more states will get on board to prevent illegal aliens from voting. I won't hold my breath, thanks for posting

We desperately need voter ID. Maybe it's a way to re-register a whole nation. Require everyone to come in with their birth certificate to register and be given an ID. I really think they have to start over from scratch now that Californian immigrants were allowed to vote. It would be a way to definitely clean up the voting list.

They also have to redo their voting list as to who is alive and who is deceased. Each county in each state should redo their lists and then go with photo ID's as proof of who you are.

I am no friend of the Democratic Party but you appear to be indulging in fake news by claiming "Democrats always tell us that nobody ever votes illegally in America." No election official from either party has made such an empirical absolutist claim, in fact both have acknowledged that while voter fraud does occur the incidence is extremely low and certainly not enough to move the needle in the final count in any district so far. I understand that your ferocious partisan narrative must be fed daily this kind of diet but alternative facts are not facts. Sorry but this one red-meat-for-Fox-News event is just pandering and does not prove anything other than what is already known.

Make Mexico reimburse Texas for every penny Texas spent prosecuting and jailing this criminal, too, as well as paying for the New Wall.

I know from my own experience votes have been tampered with because I had a regular email and when I opened it an approval for Donald Trump was with it. I tried to take the approval and it disappeared. So I now believe anything is possible. I went to my messaging and the word censorship showed up. What is this all about. What happened to right to privacy and freedom of speech?

Every State has a means by which you can obtain a certified copy of your birth certificate. You have a Social Security number and a Veterans ID and I would think that is more than enough. Go on line to (Your Birth State).gov and I'm sure you will find the links, to the necessary forms for your application for a certified copy of your birth certificate. The cost is usually nominal.
