My name here is Rob2. I have the distinct honor of being the current newest kid on the block. I have many interests, but in this day and time my primary interest is in the scary state of our beloved America. I can't help but believe we are in danger of being the ones responsible for allowing our nation, our way of life to perish. I do not believe this is an accident, nor due to negligence. But I do believe that a critical mass of us either are not paying attention, do not care, actively wish for this outcome, or are just simply in denial. I believe the founders of our nation, would be repulsed at what and who they would see, if they were able to come back for a progress report. They would see a populace which has become historically ignorant, intellectually lazy, and one which has strayed far away from what they worked so hard for, and sacrificed so much for, many with their lives. They would be ashamed that in a mere 300 years, we would be on the verge of losing it all over our stupidity, or in many cases, people who do not subscribe to the then unique concept of Liberty. This concept has always been the glue that binds us, unifies us, makes us all Americans. Through us, liberty is solely responsible for the great nation America became. There are among us those who if they had their way would do away with all that. They scoff at the constitution, even our current president has called it (the bill of rights) a bill of "negative rights." If he were as smart as he believes he is, he would realize the founders thought it just as important to enshrine in our constitution what government would NOT be, as well as what it would be, in order to leave no doubt. They disparage our constitution, one of our very founding documents, which has been heretofore sacred. I have come to believe that it's time to refresh our common purpose, indeed our nation is at sake, our liberty is at stake. It is under attack from within on many fronts. We see the evidence all around us. Ronald Wilson Reagan said that liberty is always only one generation away from becoming extinct. He was so right. We now need a good old fashioned uniquely American "grass roots" effort to halt the ending of America. So I am interested in communicating and sharing ideas with anyone who shares these concerns, as well as other interests. I am glad to be a member here and I look forward to meeting and speaking with all of you. I know all our lives are complicated and busy with many competing interests, but our nation needs us. If we can't invest some of our attention to it in it's time of need then we don't deserve it. Thank you all.

good to have ya aboard. there are people (sheeple)on this forum who espouse damn near everything you just mentioned and stand by it. they despise 'individuality and competition' because somehow someone else's feelings get hurt. but the majority on this forum actually think for themselves...like americans do and believe like you do. and myself, just like everyone else here don't care about the NSA. you'll like this.

Rob,
Welcome to the forum. I am certain many here echo your feelings, as I do. Please do not hesitate to jump-in and post to a topic, or to start your own. I believe we all here love our country, even with differing political views. I am glad you are here to share your views and learn with us.
I'm curious about something I saw in your post and wonder, have you read Mark Levin's The Liberty Amendments?
I am looking forward to engaging with you in the topic threads. Again, Welcome
Tim

Who is attacking our country from within? Why do we think America is ending? What should we do to help our nation in its time of need. Tell us what to do, rob2. We will follow your lead to a better America. Live free or die is our motto in New Hampshire. What else can we say about it?

Welcome. We got em all here, right wing, left wing, wing nuts, cross threads, and probably cross dressers also. I doubt you will find you occupy a niche all to yourself. Jump when you feel froggy, I look forward to your comments, as I do all reasoned and well presented comments, whether I agree or not. FYI: The Constitution was ratified in 1789. That is only 225 years, but I get your point.

Welcome, welcome, Rob! We appreciate all the intelligence we can gather. There are many of us on this forum who totally agree with your sentiments, and we've discussed at length various methods of dealing with the overthrow of our nation. We understand and detest all that is happening, but I believe as long as the media and the DNC and all of its clones support him and the RNC stands around twiddling its thumbs while doing nothing constructive, and as long as the courts are as useless to real Americans as the Congress is, there are no peaceful methods for dealing with the enemy (the US government). And I believe violence will hurt no one except us; I have no drones, no bombs, no planes, no militarized vehicles, no helicopters, no grenades, etc. The government has all of those things and I believe is ready and willing to use them on US citizens when necessary. (I point to Ruby Ridge and to Waco as examples).

I look forward to thoughts from people who haven't been on this site - feel free to continue to voice your thoughts here.

Just a word to explain what the site needs to do, but doesn't do: If you want to respond to a specific comment, at the bottom of that comment, click on quote reply so that others will know to whom you are responding. The "reply" button just leaves one dangling out in the etherworld.
