So don't use banks, or credit cards. Simple.

Archie, we're not all drug dealers and carnies. My mortgage company is 3,000 mile away... Are you saying I should stuff $2600 in cash into an envelope and send it through the mail every month? You don't think THAT'S risky? And it's not just how we pay for things that leads to the kind of problems consumers have. A person can still get ripped off even if he pays with cash.

Yep, just like the Whitehouse comment line was shut down...so Trump could claim he didn't hear from anyone objecting to the Dakota access pipeline. Do things in the dark and hope nobody finds out, keep everyone quiet...and compliant. I'm sure many staunch conservative republicans will begin howling themselves, when their banking fees double, credit card fees and interest skyrockets and a whole slew of hidden charges start showing up. I'd say they deserve it, if it wasn't for the rest of us having to suffer too.

Yeah... I'm kind of waiting for that shoe to fall. Hatred is a powerful thing. Many conservatives would already be agreeing with us if not for the overpowering distaste they have for Democrats, which in my opinion is a cultivated state of mind. How much farther will the plutocracy be able to push before conditions get bad enough to break that hypnotic hold?

So the latest Republican offense against the American people is the current attack on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (C.F.P.B.).

The C.F.P.B. is...
1. not funded by our taxes but by the private sector. (So, entirely capitalist).
2. designed to protect consumers against predatory business practices.
3. introduced as part of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Protection Act of 2010.

The attack...
1. is yet another executive order... this one allowing the president to replace the bureau’s director at any time. (government intrusion)
2. is also a legislative bill in the works to limit the bureau’s enforcement authority, reduce its ability to make rules AND... "repeal" its consumer complaint system.

Repeal it's consumer complaint system?
Really?
So now we can't even complain? We can't be heared? Is that how this this thing is supposed to work?
I'm asking the Trump supporters... 'cause no one else can figure out why you voted for him.

Obama Care was voted on. Passed by the left and resisted by every other vote. Pelosi said it had to be passed to see what was in it. Brilliant no? You proud of that?

Of course the left passed it. The left has a fondness for abortions.

You think it was a great thing. What it was, was conceived to fail and be used as a stepping stone to a one party system. Only.uninformed people want a one party pay or system.

I see liberals talk about the ACA being a life saver.

Do you research beyond your liberal sources? Just curious. In the report we filed to congress we pointed out the flaws with the cat and predicted what is happening today.

Would you be surprised to know that instead of the ACA being a life saver, it is a life taker? Do you know that since the inception of the ACA something stunning has occurred? Do you know that a many decades long trend has reversed? Do you know that now, due to this trash act, the lifespan of Americans has shortened across the board?

I didn't think so. That is what your precious law has done. It has regulated and priced quality out of healthcare and replaced it with office actuaries whose job is to stay between the lines even at the cost of quality, so now we can expect a measurably shorter life.

Great job.

There are other ways to handle things without banks. Credit Unions. Cashiers checks, cash.

You know what? There is. And I'm glad you think about that, I wish more people did. The problem is that our country is so polarized, we can't even agree on how to solve the same problems. I agree that banks and credit cards are bad news for us anyway... They're traps. That's exactly what they are... devices set up to snag you with debt, because it's debt that give the Fed the "go" to print money. In today's world, a dollar isn't real until it's owed. I might not agree with your attitude toward immigration or Muslims, but i agree with your take on the banks.

But that problem still remains... How do you swap out a system that's been entrenched by the most powerful people in the world, especially when those people have successfully polarized the people to the point of impotency? In the meantime, we DO need something to protect us from the traps.

A person needs good credit to get anywhere now. Unless you are rich, it is almost impossible without it. It is all in the management of said credit.
It isn't all that hard to maintain good credit while remaining debt free. But I'm a simple guy with simple needs.

Then you are what I aspire to be. I'm targeting a simple life. I'm still supporting a family right now, but in a few years I will probably find myself in a similar situation as you... hopefully, still with my wife ;)

===================
Democrat is a party of EVIL! You've proven it by riots, violence, killings of innocent people, and law enforcement officers who are protecting the innocent. They've proven it by stealing, burning of properties public and private, looting, burglarizing, terrorizing, beheading of innocent Christians, shouting obscene language, killing innocent babies, women with boobs hanging bare, as they display their internal organs in their parade for protest to abort and kill their babies, free loaders, leeching the hard working taxpayers. These people have no shame at all. Their thick skins are numbed to feel shame.

These are the democrats and leftists, who are now invading our land, take the loot and plunder for their own. They are so stupid to believe that the government will feed them without working. They are so stupid not knowing where the government gets money. You democrats must learn that money comes from the hardworking taxpayers. Who are they? These are the business enterprises, corporate capitalists who engage in businesses of all kinds, and give employment to the people who are willing to work. They pay the taxes that the government feed you democrats. That is how money is made. They earn and produce. The government spends it.

As a result, democrat administration on Jan 19, 2017, left us with $20 trillion national debts and $120 trillion unfunded liabilities. He created more free loaders than earners.

President Trump has excellent economic plans for all the peoples. He ensures that all the people have jobs so they become useful to society. So far he has done superb job. But democrats and leftists, don't want to work. They have been used to being feed by the government. The government will have nothing to feed them unless, the private sectors, and citizens produce, make money and pay taxes to the government.

Democrats are so dumb to know that without earning, they have nothing to feed their huge mouths. Without people working the government is bankrupt with nothing to feed these leeches.

I do.
I guess you were busy with your head up your ass.

Do you remember Pelosi telling Congress that they HAD to vote for it to see what's in it? I do. The dems didn't even read it and they voted for it. Basically, they voted in lockstep for Pelosi not ACA. That was with the knowledge that she was not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Who had their "heads up their asses" then?

You're supposed to grown up and get a brain.
