Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

Of course it's left and right. If the Obama supporters in a state government proposed and passed such a piece of legislation all hell would break loose: suppression of free speech, peaceable assembly, etc.

Protests are almost by definition 'illegal' as they are reactions against laws or customs being enforced.

What about the American Revolution?
It started as protests.

And it is, according to our founding fathers, up to us, the average U.S. citizen, to hold them/politicians responsible for their errors.

Protests were expected and respected.
That said, no one from either party has the right to destroy property or injure another person, unless they are attacked first.

As an Independent who wrote in Kasich and Sanders because I could not support either Hillary or Donald, I have been doing some research and this is what I have found so far:

West Point studies show that we are much more likely to be attacked by an extreme conservative white surpremicist, than by anyone from all of the middle eastern nations combined.
The F.B.I. ran a similar study and came to the same conclusion.

After comparing 100 posts/tweets from both parties on various websites the count stands at:
76 verbally violent comments from the right.
24 from the left.

Seems by the numbers the liberals are considerably less prone to violence.

As far as Christian vs. Muslim, we have our radicals too:
That so called Christian church in kansas, who go to veterans funerals and violently disrupts the service, telling the family the veteran deserved to die because they defended the U.S. and tbe U.S.is too liberal, too many gays, too many women who vote against bullies and haters, and too many of whoever they are against this week.
You call this christian/American?
At one point the Muslim religion was led by a man who saw heaven as a place he could go to pray with Abraham and Jesus.

It is written on the Dome of the Rock in glass beads filled with gold, showing how important this was to him and his followers.

Then the rulers/sultans in the middle east allowed the clerics to become involved in the goverment, and the extreme conservatives saw this as a way to gain power and wealth by manipulating religion.

We are beginning to commit the same error they did, right here.

By allowing religion to gain foothold in politics we are committing a grave error which will allow the radicals like the church in kansas to have a voice.

Members of churches here can speak for themselves. They do not need a preacher to do it for them. They do not deserve 2 votes.

The American/fake christian version of ISIS is being born. And you hate speakers will be its parents.

America needs fewer laws, not more prisons.

What they are doing is criminal and not covered by 1st Amendment of free speech. They are creating anarchy and trying to overthrow the government. What else can they be doing? It certainly doesn't look like fun or entertainment. It should be considered criminal and they should be arrested, charged and put away. To express your disagreement legally is one thing, but what these nut cases are doing is illegal or should be.

This is just the beginning of criminalizing any protest at all. Do you like the way protests are being handled in Russia? If this bill is passed, exactly WHO will make the decision as to what is illegal. Be careful what you ask for.

Most people support the police state until they become a victim of it.
