Isaiah chapter 7

Verse 1 - 8

Ahaz was a wicked king of Judah. After Solomon’s reign, the children of Jacob divided into two nations, Israel and Judah. Although brother’s, Israel had sided with Syria against Judah. This angered God. Israel will soon no longer exist as a nation. Manasseh means forgetfulness. Israel will eventually settle in the Americas and western Europe. Everywhere they would travel, there would be war, starvation, and disease.

Verse 9

God had such disdain for Pekah, that He wouldn’t even use his name. He didn’t think much of Ahaz either. If you don’t believe, your life will amount to nothing.

Verses 10 - 13

When God is ready to act, follow God’s instructions. It is always a bad idea to use the bible too disobey God.

Verses 14 - 16

This sign is meant for us as by the time that is accomplished, it is around 700 years later. This prophecy is predicting the birth of Jesus. Verse 14 is found in Matthew 1:23.

Verse 17

The northern kingdom of Israel will be conquered by Assyria. The entire nation will be made to relocate. They will settle in west Europe and the Americas. The people in Israel will one day return to the Middle East. Only Judah is there now but it is called Israel. Israel is in Western Europe and the Americas. They are the Christian nations.

Verse 18 - 20

Hiss means to whistle. It pleased God to send the Assyrian’s to displace the northern kingdom. They were a disappointment to God, and irritating to anyone who were unlucky enough to be in the same room with them.

Verses 21 & 22

God never stopped caring for Israel. Even though Israel never cared for God. One day we will all understand that God sent His word to help us and show us how a society should govern itself.

Verses 23 - 25

Until all of the children of Jacob return to the Middle East, it will a cesspool of cruelty and injustice. Currently Islam is exporting lawlessness, cruelty, and injustice across the planet.
