So Hillary was selling Americas Uranium to the Russians? Are these the same Russian's that Trump is having a love fest with? And I have to ask, just how was Hillary able to get a hold of our Uranium to sell it to the Russians? That's not an easy feat to do and then there is the question of exporting it.

And while I know you don't care the State Department was one of nine agencies comprising CFIUS, which vets potential national security impacts of transactions where a foreign government gains control of a U.S. company. It was established by Congress in 2007 after the controversy over the planned purchase of seaports by a company in United Arab Emirates. The other agencies were the departments of Treasury, Defense, Justice, Commerce, Energy and Homeland Security, and two White House agencies (Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and Office of Science and Technology Policy).

Still, it’s somewhat disingenuous to say this uranium is now Russia’s, to do with what it pleases, or to suggest that any amount of the uranium will end up anywhere but the US. The current licenses – held by the US-based subsidiaries and approved by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission – do not allow exports from any U1H US facility. So, to further answer the lead question: Russia, via Rosatom and U1H, owns roughly 20 percent of US uranium production capacity. The share of US reserves is much less clear as economic constraints significantly muddy the picture. Looking at actual production, U1H, via Willow Creek, produced an estimated 210 tons of uranium, or 11 percent of the 1887.5 tons extracted in the US in 2014.

For Russia to export US uranium any where they have to go through the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Atomic Energy Commission--not an easy thing to do under Obama but probably much easier given the love fest between Putin and Trump.
