Seems to me the question was designed to make him look bad regardless of his answer. On the one hand, he is asked to make this totally unenforceable guarantee that 'not one dollar' will go to the trump organization; and then sometime later, someone points to an instance where, lo and behold, a single dollar did actually go to the Trump organization. He's outed as a corrupt fraud and has no defense of the facts. On the other hand, he tries to give an honest answer and gets lambasted as a toady because he can't make such a guarantee. He did the right thing in refusing to make such a guarantee, because he understands that he has no way of knowing whether his actions as head of HUD would benefit Trump's organization or not.

The presenters made a good point when they stated that he (Carson) has no idea whether any of Trump's businesses (and there are literally hundreds of them) would benefit from HUD disbursements because Trump has not revealed the extent of his business influence.

As an aside, this post was framed in such a way as to preempt a defense that Dr. Carson is a Christian. Well, Christian or not, your assertion that Dr. Carson "has the moral compass of a jellyfish" is a total misnomer. Jellyfish do not have brains and therefore are incapable of reasoning on moral or any other terms. As for his status as a neurosurgeon, I would assert that it takes a good deal of intelligence and logical reasoning to gain the education and abilities such a career requires, and that alone qualifies him for the position in question. I know this is not the response you were looking for (the 3 ad-hominem attacks in the original post will testify to that), and so I leave you to your meltdown in 3, 2, 1........
