I remember some of the ice storms here in Illinois and they look funny but when you are in them they ain't. I started out for work a couple of times in those ice storms and after traveling at about 15 miles a hour you soon come to the realization that nothing good will come from this endeavor and then go home.
I lived and sold timeshares in Lake Tahoe at a resort at 7,000 feet (The Ridge), in the summer the road was scary, in the winter I stayed home on snow days... Don D.
