China tests prototype of most advanced stealth fighter jet - U.S. better pay attention
But remember it's still cheap Chinese junk
Junk hell. Most of the technology was stolen from the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and if anything was improved on. They can afford to do it because they didn't have to spend billions of R&D Chinese currency to do the basic engineering.
Technology is one thing. Quality of materials is another

Materials are the same they sell to us, and that we use. When it comes to weaponry, China does not build junk.
I doubt we use Chinese junk to build our weapons

You need to do some research, rather than just guessing.
I only spent over eight years working for aerospace firms, and you would be surprised where the materials come from....a lot of it from China, and other countries overseas. Not all of our weapon systems, new ship components, electronic components and circuit cards are built in the USA, or with USA components.
Worked for a defense contractor for 15 years. Not guessing

Well, I was a Project and Program Manager, Proposal Manager, and Director of Government Contracts for four different defense contractors, and I disagree. Go analyze what your subcontractors provide as materials and components. Some of that stuff is not even manufactured or sold in this country anymore. So, you have to get it overseas.
I worked as a engineering consultant for over 2 and a half decades, mainly fighter jet engine design as well as a designer for U.S. Navy sonobuoys and military tactical field radios where I where I worked as a packaging designer. Yea, maybe if we were talking about 30 years ago Chinese military equipment would be considered junk by us but not any more. There equipment is very close in quality to our own and they have more of it.

The F-35 is obsolete.
They can have it. It can't defeat an F-16=
It has some tricks up it's sleeve and isn't as bad as some would think but the F-16 is designed to be dynamically unstable and is very maneuverable.
I worked on the augmenter thrust nozzles on that engine the F-135 and did blade and vane work on the F-100-PW-229 on the 16.
I googled the amount of Chinese parts in our military aircraft and was stunned. Yea we should buy parts from a potential adversary.

Well, an article I read recently stated that the test pilots love it, says it outperforms the F-16.

F-16 is a better up close fighter but the F-35 can locate enemy aircraft at greater distances. It's technology is currently superior but it'll just be transferred to existing F-16's.
