Long story short.....came home as I had a dental appt, let the dogs out while i jumped in the shower and did the pre visit double flossing and crap....went to let the dogs in and noticed copious amounts of blood covering the front end of my large dog...My Dog!...went to freaking out to see what happened. ..cactus get her? Something stupid going all crack head after a squirrel?....cleaned her up and found no wounds...hmmmmmmm, went out back to find the issue, thats when i found the crime scene. ...1 half of a cat

I have seen this cat, it hangs out near the corner house that had new neighbors move in a couple months back ....sooooooooo, i scooped up and bagged the remains like a good guy and went to see if this was theirs, i didn't want them putting up signs and looking for this cat....so i did what i thought was the right thing....NOT!! This quickly escalated into a huge debacle and shouting fest that was close to coming to blows, it probably would have if not for our local finest in blue showing up from another neighbors complaint.....geeeez, after the cops played CSI and checked out the crime scene to determine the cat was in my back yard and on my property they quickly informed the new neighbors i was not at fault. ...they were, city regs do not allow cats to roam free in my city and informed them they can be fined by animal control. ...which just happened to show up.......bummer, now these people were demanding i replace this high dollar cat......of course my reponse was...that ain't happening!

I have a feeling my new neighbors will not be inviting me over for Sunday BBQs........the male has threatened litigation in small claims ct.

Just the opposite happened to me, DOGS, five of them roam up to my place to relieve themselves. This happens like clock work each morning, so I fashioned a doggie trap with left over parts scattered about the land. Next, I will place a sign on the tree nearest their entrance reading," If you can't control your dog, animal control will." Maybe this will work. I love dogs but hate poop.

Tell em to come to my local animal shelter and they can have their pick of cats.
I have trapped 16 of em, all on my pontoon boat docked in my yard in the last 4 months.
All went to the local animal shelter.
People who own pets should not let them run loose.

Yepper....i usually don't bother with cats as they like to roam...it's what they do, but if have to start picking up trash because of them we have a problem.

I don't know what a high dollar cat is.....but they appear to be free everywhere if you want one, ive never heard of someone actually buying one???

So it appears must have been a dumb cat to get caught....even the squirrels are smart enough NOT to get caught.

Come on over to my neighborhood and you can have your pick of the litter so to speak. We have an abundance of feral cats roaming around. It's funny...all these cats and I still have mice in my house.

No leash law violation for you when your dog is confined to its own property..So your good..

Cat leash law violation is in force and because owner allowed cat to roam free in violation of the leash law he bares the responsibility not you..

Small claims court action easy to dismiss citing the leash law statute the guy violated...

All good, dear...You have nothing to worry about!

Other than those birdies now coming your way...

My guess is it will be laying in the yard after the digestion process is complete.......it will be the multi colored grumpy, maybe i will bring him that also, that way he has a complete cat

The weird part.....it was the top half missing......only thing left were part of the middle with the back legs and a tail.
