Origin:On 26 October 2016, Donald Trump surrogate and former Charles In Charge actor Scott Baio took to Facebook to share some new "discoveries" he had unearthed about the Clinton family.  Chief among them was the claim that Chelsea Clinton had married the nephew of billionaire and philanthropist George Soros:

So Chelsea is married to George SOROS nephew.
Baio didn't provide any evidence that Marc Mezvinsky, Chelsea Clinton's husband, was related in any way to Soros. The closest the actor came to connecting the two was when he said (falsely) that Clinton and Mezvinsky had been married at Soros' mansion.
While this rumor has been circulating for several years, it is as untrue now as it always was. Clinton and Marc were married at Astor Courts on the old Astor estate Ferncliff Farm, a property that is not owned by Soros. 
Furthermore, it's unclear where Baio "discovered" that Marc Mezvinsky was the nephew of George Soros, as this claim is demonstrably untrue. The billionaire has one brother, Paul Soros, who has two children, Peter and Jeffrey Soros. Therefore, George Soros has two nephews, Peter Soros and Jeffrey Soros, and neither of these people is Marc Mezvinsky. 
Marc's father, Ed Mezvinsky, has one brother, Norton (who is not also George Soros' brother). Norton explicitly stated that he was Marc's "only uncle" after he did not receive an invitation to his nephew's wedding:

It's has become fact that the Russians have a sophisticated propaganda machine including teams of paid human trolls and networks of websites and social media. They have been able to portray Clinton as a criminal hiding, health problems and should be locked up. But it's now becoming apparent the it's an attempt by the Russians to hand control of our nations shadowy cabal of global financiers. The sophistication of Russia tactics may have had major complications by Facebook and google to crack down on false news. Not only Facebook and google there is now evidence that the Russian tactics also included penetrating computers of election officials in several key states and releasing troves of of doctored hacked emails that were solely used to embarrass Clinton.

The Russian tactics of fake or false news is used to solely erode faith in the US government or any US interest. The Russians used these same tactics during the Cold War. There problem then was hard to do before social media. The Russians do understand there are bands of useful idiots such as we see on OPP that believe anything and they utilizes these idiots to spread there garbage.

Just by using the online echo chamber on OPP to classify the useful idiots that the Russians have taped into and are either ignorant or are knowingly assisting the Soviet Union propaganda but they continue with the same old BS that is impossible to fact check it all. I compare it to Russia running a Super PAC for Trumps campaign and it worked.

Google is now attempting to ban all sites publishing false or fake news, Facebook is now following suite working with the FBI, homeland security, and the CIA to find out where these stories came from and it has in just about every case lead them to Russian propaganda. But we still have the Russian useful idiots on OPP that unknowing spread this propaganda.

Russian Propaganda understands one thing they have found a large majority of useful idiots such as we see on OPP but thousands of sites across this nation with the same type of useful idiots to spread nothing but Russian propaganda. By tapping into the racist element, and the religious extremist they have essentially found US citizens capable of eroding faith in our US government.

Trump taped into the same false News and played the Goldman Sachs false news against Clinton. But not one useful idiot has said anything about Trump appointing all his friends from Goldman Sachs to high level cabinet and advisors positions. It's like all economy issues will run through Goldman Sachs.
ProporNot a nonpartisan group has flagged 200 websites guilty of peddling Russian propaganda was viewed by more than 213 million hits just on Facebook. But the useful idiots such as we have on OPP use sites such as ZeroHedge, Infowars, and Natural News and 200 have already been exposed but our security agencies. Now we know the Trump love for Russia because he constantly quotes these sites in his rally's but never exposes where he got his facts and then the useful idiots further spread this garbage.

Let's just look at how much the useful idiots spread false news about Obama considering Martial Law because of mass riots. I want to know where were all these mass riots. How can you useful idiots spread false news how Trump saved Carrier jobs when it was nothing but a scam costing the state of Indiana $7,000,000 how about spreading the false news how Trump saved a ford plant that was never going anywhere. But being able to tap into useful idiots is becoming a big part of the Trump tweets and false news sites.

Analysis found 20 of the top 20 false news stories outperformed 20 news stories from major news outlets. But now with the ability to tap into these useful idiots they use the internet by spreading false news which has enable Trump to actually convince these idiots that everything the main stream media that reports anything negative about Trump is a lie and the idiots believe it. All the while the republican legislators also tap into the useful idiots to spread there misinformation.

So now that the administration official advisors are taking shape in the Trump administration. White Supremacist (check). Muslim Haters (Check) Public School hater (check) destroy SS and Medicare(Check) on and on but false news has given us this guy.

So through false news we have elected a billionaire that is appointing other billionaires to fix the system that made them billionaires. You're a special kind of stupid aren't you. But the useful idiots on sites such as OPP have bought into the false news and everything else is a lie.

Let's look at voter fraud false news Trump and the false news constantly utilize a 2013 Washington post and a Pew study from 2 years prior. However but have said that the research was wrong and but have retracted it. But the useful idiots keep quoting it and Trump just a few days ago used it again.

It's absorb to think Obama has done nothing and use false news to discredit all his accomplishments while in office. But false news finds ways to convince useful idiots to deny Obama the fastest economic growth, deficit spending cut by 2/3 a stock market that more than doubled, and as per the CBO report Healthcare inflation at it's lowest rate in 50 years. Because False news will never report Health Insurance yearly increases prior to the ACA.

Now we have Trump surrogates running around promoting prison time for main stream journalist that print anything negative about Trump. Don't get me wrong Trump is brilliant at manipulating the media but what surprised him during the campaign is how he was able to tap into the useful idiots, white supremacy, and the religious extremist, to be able to just flat out lie and not be held accountable for his lies.

Trump has not had anywhere near enough scrutiny compared to Clinton. Trump connection to Russia, His dirty dealings screwing contractors and vendors, his total opposition to transparency or his Tax returns, a simple release of his tax returns never fully covered his overseas investments creating a major conflict of interest not covered by any of these false news agencies. But I believe it's these conflicts of interest by our President will eventually create a major scandal in this country and further separate this country because Trump knows he can say and do anything he wants because he has the useful idiots on his side and facts will just get lost because Trump has the lying media card to play constantly.

I wouldn't be too blase about the 'fake news' sites and their effect. In our 'post truth' society (where folks can get away with saying they did not say what they are clearly recorded as saying...Mr. President elect) fake news can be destructive, especially to those who fall for the 'mainstream media is biased' canard.

Really now....Hillary Clinton in a child molestation ring. Whatever floats your boat, but I have to say that folks who do not know the difference between real and fake news are a danger to themselves and those around them.

It's a good question: who determines what fake news is? It's hard to tell sometimes.

I understand questioning the MSM, but the link I put up is about a man who went to DC to break up a child sex ring led by Mrs. Clinton and John Podesta. Clearly this individual did not stop to think about the story he believed. That was not a left wing story. It was a right wing story. Both sides engage in it.

I take your point about tabloid journalism. But it seems like every news story now is somehow 'fake' unless it confirms our own inherent bias.

I'm not manipulated. I take seriously the charge of bias by the MSM, however that does not mean that I believe everything put out by folks like breitbart. In fact, I see their bias just as easily as you see it in the MSM.
