Of course there are Christians. If you believe in Christ, then you are a Christian.

Perhaps you need a little context…

What I meant is that there is no such thing as “better Christians than others.”

The fact is that there are better Christians than others and that will be determined, on judgment day, by God himself.

These are issues that man has no right to try and determine himself.

To expound on Romans 3:23…

“…For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” Romans 3:23

“For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.” James 2:10

We have all sinned (not kept the law) which means we are all guilty of transgressing ALL the law so therefore “there is no such thing as ‘better Christians than others.’”

You don’t acquire salvation by works.

Not so. Those who obey God are Christians. The Devil believes in Christ too. Belief is not enough. Obedience is required.

Helping someone else isn't being Robbin Hood but simply being civilized which is why it would be part of the providence of any civilized society--including it's government...

Oh come now, there isn't a Christian out there that obeys god. It's not whether you obey god but whether you accept Christ as your savior that marks you as a Christian. It's sad when an atheist knows what it takes top be a Christian but a wanna be Christian doesn't...

The context I meant was to be part of humanity.

The fact that one obeys God is a sign that they really are a Christian. It's an outward sign of an inward change. Faith without works is dead.

But Christians don't obey god--show me one that says he does and I'll show you a liar...

All that's required is the effort. Even Christians sin. That's where repentance comes in. There is sin, and there is willful sin. Do you know the difference? Someone who sins willfully is not a Christian.

Don't confuse belief with acknowledgement. Belief means live by.
