I like to think that I am reasonably intelligent analytical thinker. I have degrees in both mechanical and electrical engineering as well a commercial pilots license with over 3,000 hours of commercial PIC time. I have understood E=MC/2 since 7th grade and more recently through in depth study of Astro Physics I have finally figured out how Gravity works. BUT, my ultra, ultra liberal sister with 2 PHDs thinks I am a low grade moron because I support Trump. What can a moron like me to keep peace in the family? So far, I haven't been invited over for the holidays. :(

CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota suggested on Monday that Americans should sport hijabs to show solidarity with Muslim women who fear being attacked for wearing religious head coverings. This proclamation came hours right before the Ohio State University attack, which was committed by an Islamic radical student.

“Maybe there will be a movement where people wear the head scarf in solidarity. You know, even if you’re not Muslim,” Camerota said during CNN’s early-morning “New Day” broadcast. “Maybe it’s the way people shave their heads, you know, sometimes in solidarity with somebody who is going through something.”

The CNN segment focused on Muslim women who claim they live in fear of being verbally or physically attacked for wearing head scarves under the new President-Elect, Donald Trump. “I hope I can wear it one day again. I hope I can feel safe enough to do so,” Marwa Abdelghani, a Muslim-American woman, told the network.

The segment was cordially titled “The Trump Transition: Fearful Muslim women take steps to be safe.”

Camerota’s co-host on the segment, Chris Cuomo, suggested an alternative for Muslim women who fear being attacked. “I think self-defense training is good for everybody,” he said. “Prepare yourself for whatever can come.”
