That is the purpose of the constitution;
to limit the powers of the "State"/Federal Government

"Populism is most common in democratic nations." BUT democracies can over ride the protections of a Republic. That is why a Republic was designed for us.

So this is the BS being used by our public "education" system
"Socialism a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

All comrades had to do was replace one word; "State" with "community as a whole"

No, I did not attend a college in order to be brainwashed.
Did you?

All forms of government can be corrupted.
Look at what's happened to our Republic.

The Founding Fathers didn't trust the people to rule.
That's why they set up the electoral college so the wealthy elite would be in control.
If you don't think the wealthy elite control Trump, you're in for a big disappointment.
Trump is more like them than any president in history.

There is more to #Pizzagate than meets the Eye
Tim Brown — December 2, 2016

As #Pizzagate begins to unravel and the mainstream media runs from it while pointing the fingers at citizen journalists who are eager to expose the truth behind the criminal pedophile ring in DC, a series of reports is here to help keep you updated with the information you need to know in order to inform your representatives and demand justice.

However, the DC pedophile ring just might include your representative or senator. Therefore, be ready to demand justice against even the guy wearing your team's jersey.

Still, this pedophile ring is not limited to DC, but has been fully and internationally operational for decades.

A political pedophile ring operated long before this one.
The Franklin scandal during George H.W. Bush's presidency involved many in DC, with children from Boy's Town in Omaha NB as victims: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpQ5f5U4H3M

But.....it's MUCH harder to squelch out the social media posts now and "their" new "conspiracy theory" term is "fake news".

Peter, Lies always hurt our democracy. It just amazes me how many people believe anything they read on line if it agrees with their own personal beliefs.

With the plethora of fake news stories that popped up during this election cycle one has to ask if the influence of fake news hurts our democracy? Now generally fake news says something that we would agree with anyway--like 'If I ran for president it would be as a republican because the are the dumbest group of voters out there' attributed falsely to Donald Trump or ‘I Was Paid $3,500 To Protest Trump’s Rally.' falsely attributed to a Trump supporter and repeated by Trumps son Eric.

The list goes on and on but it seems to me that false news feeds into our gullibility and goes to enormous lengths to destroy our trust in our news sources and even our trust in each other. Talk about divisiveness in our country nothing contribute more to it then the creation, distribution, and ultimately the belief in fake news. Just today Trump was running on about the fake news story of 3 million illegals voting where there is zero evidence of illegal votes nor, if they did happen, who they were cast for. If we can't trust our election system how can we trust that it produced a true and accurate result? Should we nationalize our election process and have it regulated and standardized by the federal government and redo it?

Do you see the problem with and danger when we start repeating fake news stories. Donald Trump seems to be saying we can't trust the outcome of the election so if we can't trust it should we create as system that we can trust and repeat the election?
