What are you talking about? Is this supposed to be a joke? The white guy isn't a president-elect Trump supporter. Pretty sure he is a democrat, historically that party is quite comfortable using the word. Who is that guy? When did he register as a Republican?

But even more amusing was the faux outrage and condemnation by the female host, most likely another registered democrat. If she was truly bothered by the use of the word, her reaction would have been immediate, not twenty seconds later, obviously she needed to be told to object by the producer via her earpiece. You're really struggling these days, lol.

The "taboo" words... I recall a time that you did not use profanity in public, let alone on tv. I think that we are finally moving past most, if not all, taboo words. So, brace yourself, the "N" word may be one to be added to the list of words that are relegated to history and considered unacceptable if used by anyone.... regardless of race. Just like the terms: coon, tom, savage, pickaninny, mammy, buck, samba, jigaboo, and buckwheat, bones, bun, campers, Canadian Goose, Circle K, firewood, bog jumper, clover, chop, dago, Jewop.... or any other slang term used to demoralize a race.

In my opinion, she is correct... if you want a word to fall off the top 10 insulting list, stop using it. Not just complain that a white uses it.... stop being obsessed with the word... It puts me in mind of my grandson, at age 11 thought that using profanity was a great way to gain attention, and for a while it worked.... his father bought a load of soap used to wash out his son's mouth. He is now 12, guess what? He uses a "bad" word, we ignore him and he is catching on, he has learned that he will not get attention for his foul mouth and he hates to be ignored.

This is what your constant complaint is becoming... something else to ignore about behavior that is unacceptable. You stopped being a beacon to protest bad treatment of blacks, you have become background noise, something to be ignored. If this was your goal, you and people like yourself (regardless of race) have now inoculated the white population of the USA... the shock value is gone, the pity once felt for something that happened 200 years ago has grown old and no longer relevant; now most are waiting for you to finally grow up and become part of the citizenry of the USA. If this is not something that you, your family and friends are prepared to do, then leave. The rest of the USA are moving on to a better nation, and it will be lead by President Trump. Get over it!

No more PC and the Alt-Right have been freed. People have realized with the election of Trump that they are free to say what they think and they are doing so. What I find so Ironic is that trump doesn't understand how he's responsible for energizing the Alt-Right. Doesn't he listen to his own rhetoric? The only thing missing from his rallies were Seig Heils but not even Hitler promoted more hate than he did.

I had thought we had gone further in this country then we had. I grew up referring to Blacks as Ni@@ers as a matter of course. My grandmother, who I though of as a saint, had no problem letting fly the N word even though her next door neighbor and best friend was black. But my house was different. Neither my wife or I denigrated or demeaned anyone of color and would have delivered holy hell upon our children if they ever uttered a negative word. The result, I think, was two very fine children who treat everyone based upon how they would like to be treated. I had just assumed that most people like me, who were raised to be racists, would have grown out of it as I did. Clearly not, and not only that but they are teaching their children and grandchildren to be the same as they were taught. Sadly that's what they think of when they hear the words "make America great again," return us to the days when racism was socially accepted and expected as a matter of course.

Well, all I can say is not with me nor with my children. That cancer's been excised in us. To us, the greatness of America is that we can change and social change is what's made our country the greatest in the world...

Would CNN have applauded this guy for using the word if he had sang it instead of speaking it?

If Sen. Sheets Byrd had sang the word repeatedly on TV would that have been enjoyable?

What about mute people? How can they also say offensive words and get paid for it instead of being shunned for it since you can't sing using sign language?

That's a problem with faking outrage. It's hard to know when to show faux indignation and when not to.

Geez, Pennylynn, I didn't realize that I had lead such a sheltered life all these 63 years. I've never heard some of those words ever used in a derogatory racial manner. I thought Canadian Goose was a migratory bird and Circle K was a now defunct convenient store. I mean, really, bun, camper, bog jumper, clover are racist words? I consider myself one of OPP's racist residents and I never knew those words to be racist. But, then again, maybe I am just not that sensitive of a guy....hmmm
