With Nazi salutes flying after the election of Donald Trump he has come out and disavowed the Alt-Right stating:

“I don’t want to energize the group, and I disavow the group,” Trump said. “It’s not a group I want to energize. And if they are energized I want to look into it and find out why.”

Well the reason why is easy--Trumps rhetoric panders directly to the Alt-Right belief system. What I would like to know is how is it Trump seems to be completely unaware of it. Since Breitbart is the "official" site for the Alt-Right I wonder if now Trump will fire Bannon. After all, he said he would if he thought he was associated with the Alt-Right...

I keep hearing Alt-right this, Alt-right that, but so far I haven't met any of that persuasion. Everyone who opposes Bannon, claims he's Alt-right, but has he said he's Alt-right or is Alt-right just a clever label thought up by those who disagree with anyone who professes a conservative philosophy. How about we create an Alt-left category and then imagine who might fit that description.

Breitbart, his publication, is the 'clearinghouse' for the Alt-Right. If he's going to write articles designed to pander to the AR than I think he probably agrees with what the say. As far as an Alt-Left--Alt stands for alternative--so those who identify with Bernie Sanders would probably qualify.
