You cannot win something for which there is no contest. We do not have a popular vote system we have an electoral college system. If you take a bar exam you don't study medical books. You prepare for the contest you are entering. I am 100% sure if we had a popular vote system all assets on both sides would have been distributed differently. Neither candidate would have spent a minute in New Hampshire. Trump would have campaigned in parts of California and New York to drive up the Middle Class white vote. Hillary would have tried to drive up Dem voter turnout in South Carolina. Campaign ads would have been shown in different places. Who would have won the popular vote is UNKNOWN because we did not have a popular vote contest

You cannot win something for which there is no con... (show quote)

I'm really glad you pointed that out VP.....I wish some of the conservative pundits (what few there are) would explain this. It makes perfect sense. I was scratching my head....how could this person have won the popular vote? Few went to her rallies.....no HRC signs anywhere.....no enthusiasm that I could see.....so my questions is....where were all these protestors when she was campaigning! They are coming out in large cities creating havoc.....yet where were they 1-2-3 months ago????? It's sad. But good post !!!

If the situation was reversed the Democrats would be saying the same thing you are stating and you would be complaining that Trump won the popular vote and it was unfair for Hillary to be President when Trump got the most votes. Each side has its own spin.

Its comparing apples to apples. For example I supported Trump but I knew in NJ he had no chance so I decided to vote for Jill Stein. I disagree with her on most issues but I liked her personally and respected her clean campaign. With 5% she would have received matching funds and I like having strong 3rd parties. In a popular vote election I would have voted for DT. The outcome of a popular vote election is unknown because we did not have that type of contest

I agree with you on the spin but this is the second time for Dems. Bush-Gore if you recall and Dems are the ones crying out against the electoral college system.

(D)ems cry out about anything they think they can get away with crying out about, Pee. Probably half the "thugs" now trying to reverse the POTUS decision didn't even know there WAS an election, and another half of the other half didn't vote, and are just on the "red-diaper" Soros train acting as capitalistic anarchists; and if THAT'S possible, a liberal progressive will do it!!! What's that "crushing" noise I'm hearing??? GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP!!!

There is a petition from Change.Org asking Electoral voters to change their vote. The odds of convincing 70 or 80 of them is absurd. Its a scam to drive people to their website and donate

Hillary Clinton won the Popular Vote because California Voters gave her 2.2 million more Votes than Trump, and she's winning the overall Populous Vote by 212 Thousand with 92% of the overall Total Votes counted...

Wrong. There was no popular vote contest. The contest held was electoral college. That's like claiming Hillary had a Black Jack in a game of Poker.

The Electoral Vote has always been the determining factor in USA Presidential-Vice Presidential Elections...
But there has also been a look at the Popular Vote vs the Electoral Vote... Some folk want to see if the losing Candidate had that Black Jack even though it means nothing in the outcome...

Don't know if it would be legal or possible; however, IF the electoral votes were enumerated according to the popular vote in each state. Would this not take away the crybaby attitude? THOUGHTS ANYONE?

But if we had no electoral college there is no knowing what the popular vote outcome would have been. Assets and Strategy would have been different

Whoa down. You do not know how many 'voters' are illegals.
