Hello, I'm Nessus

At some point in the dim past, I realized that I liked writing - about politics, culture, government, history, and other subjects. Unfortunately, I was unable to get someone to pay me for these essays, so I go to free bulletin boards in the Internet to indulge my habit. I found that it was actually better that way, as other people could let me know what they were thinking about, and would comment on my offerings.

This has been a blessing, because I have invariably found that people on the internet are kind, thoughtful, well informed and patient.

Okay, that's not true but still I have a lot of fun, and I hope you will, too.

You'll find this site pretty much runs the gamut; ultra liberal to fairly conservative, intelligent to uninformed to downright ignorant. You'll find the conversation the same: polite and civil to downright nasty. That happens when people are concerned about issues. As I've said many times, even the people I disagree with are still a cut above the apathetic majority, more concerned with "American Idol" than with the performance of their elected representatives.

Hello Nessus;
In computer security, Nessus is a proprietary comprehensive vulnerability scanner which is developed by Tenable Network Security. It is free of charge for personal use in a non-enterprise environment. Its goal is to detect potential vulnerabilities on the tested systems. ...

Any connection?

Welcome! Yes fun can be had here. Some folk like to do the "nasty dance" and I have fun with them. I'm sure you can find some too.

Welcome: I am a party guy of the tea variety. Sometimes I drink to much tea while others drink to much Kool-Aid. Hope you enjoy

Welcome to the forum. We often get into some engaging discussions, while others troll the heck out of us.

It's fun.
