I'm sick and tired of atheists claiming that those who believe in God and Creation, are nothing more than a bunch of scientific illiterates. Read what a real scientist has to say about his belief in God.

God is the first and most creative engineer ever known in the universe. Science and faith became questionable to me after aeronautics school. After a time in my feild the two subjects became intertwined to point that faith and science were and are completely compatible.

I've always believed that people do not believe in God for one simple reason. Pride. They want to live their lives without being accountable to anyone. I believe that they know, on some level, that there is a God. They simply don't care. After all, God is such a wet blanket on how they want to live their lives. How dare He tell them they can't snort, smoke or screw anything they want to. The nerve!

I once asked a scientist why he didn't believe in God, and he said he just couldn't fathom an omnipotent being directing evolution. I then asked him what discipline he was trained in, and he said "genetics". I asked him if he'd ever altered a living beings genes, to elicit a specific alteration, to which he answered "Of course, that's what I do". Then, I asked him why he didn't believe that a being could not do such a thing - since he'd done it himself. He said "I'm human and humans have superior intellects", so I asked "then who made humans superior?". He tried to explain that evolution created humans, but when I asked him how difficult it was to modify living beings, and have those modifications passed on to their progeny consistently - he got really quiet and didn't want to talk about this anymore.

Funny. On a related note, I'm still waiting for someone to explain why we have universal physical constants. Finely tuned to support life. Not composed of matter or energy, yet able to affect both. A naturalistic origin for the universe violates several scientific laws. One of them being cause and effect. Atheists clam up, or deflect like mad, when I mention that. Then there is the question of where energy came from. They claim it has always existed. I believe this also violates another scientific law. There is also the scientific fact that information cannot arise from natural causes. It is the result of intelligence. The information required for the simplest life is simply staggering. And they expect us to believe that all of the building blocks for life not only magically acquired the correct sequence, but were somehow magically all of the same handedness. Someone once said that those who don't believe in God will believe in anything. It is proven on this site every day.
