No. You haven't. And don't get ahead of yourself by replying to comments I make to other people.

Now you implied that snoopes is a false fact finding site. You cannot name one because facts and the truth are not allowed in your narratives.

The Trump Cult is destroying America! This is one reason why!

There is a growing and disturbing trend of anti-intellectual elitism in American culture. It’s the dismissal of science, the arts, and humanities and their replacement by entertainment, self-righteousness, ignorance, and deliberate gullibility.

Susan Jacoby, author of The Age of American Unreason, says in an article in the Washington Post, "Dumbness, to paraphrase the late senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, has been steadily defined downward for several decades, by a combination of heretofore irresistible forces. These include the triumph of video culture over print culture; a disjunction between Americans' rising level of formal education and their shaky grasp of basic geography, science and history; and the fusion of anti-rationalism with anti-intellectualism."

There has been a long tradition of anti-intellectualism in America, unlike most other Western countries. Richard Hofstadter, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1964 for his book, Anti-Intellectualism In American Life, describes how the vast underlying foundations of anti-elite, anti-reason and anti-science have been infused into America’s political and social fabric. Famous science fiction writer Isaac Asimov once said: "There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." The ignorant mob is taking over! http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/wired-success/201407/anti-intellectualism-and-the-dumbing-down-america.

Sometimes there is absolutely too much information avaliable. Nevertheless that is no excuse for willful ignorance.

No, it's not.
I have noticed simple because one source claims information to be debunked, generally w/ less research or even only taking parts of information to come to they're conclusion, that people are ao quick to dismiss another's conclusion.
Margret Sanger has been quoted on several occasions spewing racist nonsense.
If Snopes chooses to back they're partial investigative story, more power to them.
I myself require more proof, then just they're opinion.
The facts are known, and have been known for some time.
This is the same Margret Sanger that had been an honored speaker at KKK rallies afterall.

I looked at. The first thing I noticed was that it didn't address the quote about "eradicating the negro population" - it addressed a different quote entirely. I'm disappointed that you think a fake fact checking website like snopes is a source of good information. I'm disappointed because I thought you were one of the more reasonable progressives on this forum. Anyway, I hope all is well in your world, Perm.

WFOC,

Good afternoon, So close to Halloween, my child bride and I were out and about viewing the Christmas displays which are up alongside the pumpkins.. I find that very irritating..

It seems that you are very correct about my post... I had to reread it myself... So it seems my night time meal today will be crow alamode... I have learned to stomach it that way.. My bad..

But, I still hold to my belief that much misinformation about Sanger is incorrect and pulled out of a couple of critical books printed years ago.. And Snopes is still a reliable source for fact checking.. However, if you have a preference, I would try to use as a counter check..

What with the Weiner investigation turning up yet more emails, tonight will probably show little interest in any other topic. So now this post is history... Have a nice night...

Many here appear to gloat that it is the "uneducated" that are Trump's base. Considering that the Dems have spearheaded the dumbing down of our educational infrastructure, I guess they have no one else to blame but themselves. Those "uneducated" masses are the ones seeing through the fog of intellectual manure and not falling for the illusion that is being painted by a narcissistic, arrogant woman who wouldn't be anything without the influence of her "man". Bill, despite his foibles, was a charming politician who knew how to be appealing. Without him, would we have ever heard of Hillary?

Yes, my main man, Cool Breeze. I loved the OPP post by, I think, tdnerst, or something like that. Trump is everything the Neo-Nazis love. Check out PBS Newshour from last night. A whole segment about the Survivalists, the White Aryan Resistance, and so on, with flags covered with Swastikas and confederate flags. Yes, there is NO climate change. We all need to go back to our countries of origin to make this a white nation. These people are freaking insane. Inane. Dump Trump. This Orange Man will leave us "in suspense" about accepting the vote of the nation. What an ass-wipe. And, yeah, he's "smart" for not having paid any federal tax. And yeah, everything is RIGGED. He cares only about himself. There is a really funny story in the New Yorker magazine called "The Pences Visit Manhattan". Try to get ahold of it. It's in the "Shouts and Murmurs" section. Trump's son, Eric is sharpening his teeth. Donald, Jr., wants his father (he calls him Furher) out of politics and out of business. Ivanka is at the Trump tower saying that a monkey with a fever could run the family business better than her father. Mike Pence and his wife are eating somewhere (he knows that he will be attending royal dinners, so he is attempting to further his taste buds) and they have tried deep fried mozzarella and chicken wings!!! At The Red Lobster. Oh, my god. It is so funny. Ivanka ends up on the floor, rocking herself. They've fed their father a tranquilizer in his Big Mac to get rid of him. They said he was frothing at the mouth.

That is one terrifying photograph. People (Americans) need to remember HUAC and those witch trials, not just Hitler and Joe Stalin who killed more people than Hitler. My Rom family (all 11 children) and their parents escaped way before Hitler came to power. They would have been forced to wear brown tags. It blows my mind how the Trumpettes and their ilk (I know that Trumpettes is not a word, but I use it) just cannot remember history and how easily it applies to the Trump. His non-payment of his workers. His latest, great contribution to society - the new Post Office he "built" near the Capitol. What a shmuck. What losers some of these women and men are on OPP. Check out the article I mentioned it is so funny. I cannot send you a link but that's enough information. Who was ranting about Margaret Sanger? Someone on facebook was saying that she was a drug-addicted and alcoholic woman, blah, blah, blah. Who wrote about "the Cult"? I'm going to download the photo. Thanks, Nora.

So, the waker, as you say ~ you are saying that Hillary Clinton is a twisted bitch? Margaret Sanger was not an eugenicist, and I think you must be confused about who exactly is twisted and a liar during this campaign season, as bizarre as it has been. Mr. Trump refused to release his tax returns (because he is "smart"), unlike any other Presidential candidate, and he wishes to keep us "in suspense", instead of stating that he will accept the result of the election because "the system is rigged". Well, his close friend, Mr. Putin, is attempting (and failing) to help Mr. Trump out. Ms. Sanger was not a drug addict or alcoholic (do some fact checking) and Mrs. Clinton is NOT a lesbian) and the one who is sadly and woefully wrong is your candidate. It's is getting funnier to me all the time how this man (the Orange One - your main man) is only thinking about HIMSELF. He doesn't want to do anything for you. It's all about him. He's a classic narcissist. Read an article by Douglas McGrath about "The Pences visit Manhattan". It will amuse you no end. It's hysterical. I suggest you check it out. He's a writer for The New Yorker. It's in the October 10th issue. My regards to you, Mr. Putin, and the rest of the Neo-Nazis out there.
So, the waker, as you say ~ you are saying that Hi... (show quote)

Great information Cool....

Reading it I should have posted part to OPP. I bet none of these accusers will even look at that link..

They could learn so much if they simple looked for facts.. They are out in the cloud for anyone to find, but can be frustrating to do so..

Hey dumb ass you may learn bullshit and lies from snopes. They admitted to lying and making stuff up. If you had a brain you would no this fact. Think before you flaunt your stupidity next time punk.
