Confusion is the rule, not the exception.

There are so many mixed signals nowadays, that it's a wonder everyone isn't insane. It's almost as though folks are using confusion and obfuscation as a mean to avoid doing, well, anything. Here's a few examples:

Some people say they want the Gov. to cease monitoring things in their bedrooms and stay out of their religion, yet these SAME people demand the Gov. Monitor things in YOUR bedroom and get involved in YOUR religion.

There are those in Congress who claim the Affordable Care Act is a disaster and causing millions of Americans to suffer, tried unsuccessfully to repeal it, yet did absolutely nothing to try and ease the suffering of those same Americans. Perhaps that suffering is a useful political tool for them, collateral damage and all that.

Politicians recently expressed outrage at the Pentagons attempts to recover reenlistment bonuses, yet were aware of this over a year ago and did not have a problem with it - until it became public knowledge.

There are those who claim a belief that anyone should be able to say anything to anyone else, unless, of course, you say something bad or mean to them - then it's a problem.

Some folks applaud the Supreme Court for it's wisdom and integrity, until a decision conflicts with THEIR interpretation of the Constitution, then the court is a bunch of heathens.

Some folks believe that business should be able to do whatever they want, without control or restraint, then complain about being overcharged.

Folks claim that market competition is the lifeblood of capitalism, but don't bat an eye when big businesses swallow up - all the competition, ending competition.

There are those that complain that they aren't treated equally with their fellows, then demand special treatment to compensate.

There are politicians that promise to serve their constituency faithfully if elected, the constituency who doesn't hear a peep from them until re-election time.

And we wonder why the rest of the world thinks Americans are nuts.
