First and foremost, I see issues that affect me directly... Every day... And if you can afford to ignore 42% increases in food prices as a major concern, I can see how you're a DemLib-Socialist voter...

what is fact is that almost no one will be prevented from voting due not having an ID. Any form of a government
document (utility bill, driver license, school ID, voter registration card, you name it) will be accepted at polling places to permit a person to vote.

Another fact is that in places with strict, fully-enforced voter ID laws, voter fraud is significantly reduced or eliminated entirely.
Think of any activity someone of voting age can/will do, and an ID is required: flying, buying booze, buying cigarettes, getting a library card, attending political conventions, buying guns, and the list goes on.

If you doubt this is true, prove me wrong.

The reduction in voting of certain groups because of voter ID laws is the single best indicator of who has been voting fraudulently.

And if they are eligible but too lazy to get the proper ID or information together, then they are probably too lazy to have studied the issues and only vote based upon something like race or sex, so I don't want them voting anyway.

Maybe we are supposed to think that hundreds of thousands of potential voters are in such state of poor health, or old age or what ever to actually get an ID. Right! LOL!

Can you really be that stupid? You expect us to believe that such a significant percentage of the population does not have an ID? Get real!!!

Mainder01-Sure they have an ID-you cite a utility bill-any illegal can have one of those: drivers licenses-Calif. issues
drivers licenses to illegals-so using your suggested system illegals can vote. What is needed is a coded national
ID card,to prevent duplication, for each voter. That would ensure that only American citizens are allowed to vote. A national registry needs to be maintained so that absentee voter IDs can be correlated. The current system is too vulnerable to fraud. Why do you suppose the democrats continuously oppose voter ID, which would level the playing field, other than to gain advantage ? America First !!!

a national ID is one step to a totalitarian state - "can I see your papers, Please?" - nope, just use existing laws - except for California where they register you to vote when you get your driver's license - the existing laws, requiring a photo ID, should be suffice - imagine trying to board an airplane or buy booze with a utility bill - you would be laughed out of the building - you need a photo ID to buy booze, board a plane, get into the Democratic national convention (where is the irony font?), cash a check, use a credit card to buy something!! Exactly how many people in the country do you really think do not have some form of photo ID - and in places where it might be an inconvenience to get an ID, the state, county, city, will gladly give you ON THE DAY YOU VOTE, along with your provisional ballot - see how simple it can be to eliminate voter fraud?

Mainder01- With the existing paper mills in the USA how difficult would you think it would be for an illegal alien to obtain an ID which looks valid ? I do not have any idea how many people do or do not have a photo ID but the
democrats are hell bent against requiring one because it supposedly disenfranchises the poor . How about the congressman in California whose family is here illegally but they have documentation to include fake SS Cards ? Nobody would have known the difference had he not spoken out. America First !!!

I agree - America First!! - a national ID could be forged just as easily - when half the country does not feel duty-bound to follow the laws, we have way more serious problems than voter fraud - One of the founders made the statement that our form of government depended on moral men adhering to the constitution - if we do not have moral men (witness at the illegal calif congressman), then the system breaks down.
