I joined this blog yesterday but I think I may un-join. While I agree with what you are saying, I do not like the language. There is no excuse for foul language when trying to get a point across. You just lower yourself. I do not know if Reagan swore in private but he sure managed to get his thoughts/points across with clean language. Up until bout 15-20 years ago we supported Habitat for Humanity. Then one day the Trib interviewed a proud HH owner in the Twin Cities. Guess what? That new proud owner said he was so grateful. He has a good paying job, however, "His Religion" does not allow borrowing money if they have to pay interest. We all know what religion this is. I have that article in my files.
In 1981, we were thankfully transferred to MN from CA. Our boys attended and graduated from Bloomington schools, where I was happy to be involved in PTA, fund raising, sports parents, etc. Good school system. I started seeing changes when they entered their high school years. In the early 90s, because of my Constitutional, Conservative values, I was encouraged to sign up for the "Human Rights" commission. Being in the work force, kids in school, active in local politics, I did not want one more thing on my plate but said yes. Believe me it was an eye opener. There were only two of us (conservatives) on the Commission when they started bringing in the "Multi Cultural Diversity" agenda along with a newly appointed Facilitator. When I would protest, what they were mushing our students minds with, I got literally "in your face" backlash. When I tried to point out to friends, neighbors, parents, what was going on, they shrugged it off. There was a small group who fought, and with an overstuffed room, took it to the Board of Education and got nowhere. Yes, I do believe more than not, most have their head buried (as Rush would say) "where the sun don't shine". We left MN 11 years ago, mostly, because our two boys had relocated to other states, upon graduating college. One from St. Cloud State. Sad to hear of what has become of that area.
I would strongly encourage, everyone, whether Dem or GOP to get involved with your local precincts. It is there where it all starts. Don't let the few who are active, control the masses. Your vote does count. You can be involved as much or as little as you want but at least you are involved. It could be as simple as doing phone banking (my least desirable job), putting out signs, door knocking, attending a once a month meeting should you become a delegate. Believe me, I learned sooooo much and I do know it made me become a better and more responsible citizen.
We have a lot to lose this election. Think about the Supreme Court appointees inevitable in the next few years. Scary isn't it. So don't sit at you computer and complain, get involved, get active. Earn that right to complain :0)
Also, Mrs Clinton, consistently, proudly announces she is a Progressive. Another very scary thought/movement which started in this country back in early 1900s. Recognize these names? Stalin, Soros, Ayers, Alinsky? They are all part of the Progress Movement. Mrs. Clinton wrote her college thesis on Alinsky. Hummm, kinda makes you wonder. If you do not understand the "Progressive Movement", I would encourage you to rent/buy "The Agenda Documentary and Agenda2. Check out the Trailer.
